Very basic accommodation
A very basic hotel. It’s clean, but the rooms have the barest of comforts. I stayed in a two story building with doors at either end and you hear every exit and entry as if it’s in your room. Not pleasant at all. Also don’t understand why there are no trees.

I booked a family room. Although this is a 3 star hotel, I would have rated the room higher if they had at leat a microwave in the room (I do understand it's not a self catering room). The carpets were a bit stuffy as well. One last thing... The hotel price on the check in form was lower than what I paid online. I was concerned about that...

We do apologise for the carpet in the room we are slowly replacing the carpet in the rooms, as for the microwaves we are not allowed due to safety regulations . Due to price not being the same as online, as you have booked with Hitels.com you should liaise with them.

Bad experience
Signage in this facility is very bad, from the parking there nothing that is showing a guest unit 398 and lady at the reception seems not interested in giving proper direction. May be people who visit this place are from local areas. The room has the stinking carpet because of the fridge which is not closing properly and the water drips to the floor. The sleeper couch was not comfortable, its very old need to be replaced. Linen was not provided meanwhile the booking state that we are 3 adults we have to request it.When providing the extra linen make sure you provide bath towel for the 3rd person. This facility is not supposed to be a 3 star, it need a facelift. remove the fridge on the carpet and tile underneath in case there is water spillage. improve your signs (room numbers to shown from parking)

Rooms were smelling mouldy. Unfriendly and unhelpful personel. Small rooms with small beds. The sleeping couch was terrible. The prices are way too high for what you get. Would not recommend anyone to stay there.

The Splendid Bayshore Inn is perfectly located not far from the beach and shopping centre,away from busy noisy road giving it a very peaceful place.

Very unhappy with Orbitz checkin They have not receive payment at the hotel. I have to call Orbitz to straighten it out. When we arrived tjere were no towels in tje room

Overall the stay was good, so I am happy. It would be better if wifi was in the rooms instead of just at an area near reception. Also, there is quite a bit of noise from other rooms when loud guests are staying nearby

It was ok...unfortunately our room smelt moldy. The restaurant was a 50's American style dinner and and menu was very limited. Staff was just ok and I am not sure I would book there again.

mould in the shower,ants in the sink at night,room wasnt properly cleaned.Bottled water not provided in the room,cellphone network is sketchy and no wifi available in the room.No landline in the room,one has to call using own cellphone in order to request anything from reception.Aircon makes a lot of noise if its on setting other than fast fan speed.Bin in the 'executive' room was broken,bathroom door doesnt close properly.

Comfortable for the price, looks clean but the carpets are dirty. With 2 kids playing on the floor and getting up with brown/black hands, knees and feet. Overall not a bad stay apart from trying to have as little contact as possible with the carpets.

Wonderful stay!!
It was comfortable. All we needed was a place to stay and if we wanted, we could eat. I have stayed in quite a few countries and it compared well with international standards. We had a good night sleep every night. There was not too much noise on New Years eve or day. From 10H00 clock on, it was all quiet! So thank you for a wonderful stay!! I will recommend it to all my family and friends. I would have loved to have a shower though, there is nothing like a quick cold shower in this heat!! But I cannot complain, I still had a cool bath every day!!

Buy more towels
The cleaning girl took all the towels and I had to perform to get them back in the evening. They must provide one towel so that we could wash our hands. The provided one normal coffee sachet for 2 people which is ridiculous. Breakfast was ok but overpriced at R120 per person.
