I Loved the veranda and the park and the river. It is just a beautiful setting and the staff couldn’t have been more friendly.

A comfortable hotel in the middle of a city park.
Korana Srakovcic is a small, well maintained family - owned four-star hotel in a city park, just close to the river Korana in which one can swim in the summer. The staff was pleasant and helpful when we asked about local attractions. The hotel also runs a small restaurant where one can get local and international food. The only thing that a bit disappointed us was a very small pool (it looked bigger in hotel photos). Nevertheless, it's a nice place for a quiet weekend (or for a stay-over when travelling by car to the Croatian coast from the European mainland).

The Gem on the Korana
I love this hotel, it was our fourth summer visit (with relatives in Karlovac, I always try to visit when traveling anywhere nearby in Europe--usually from Italy). The hotel is classy, comfortable, with a lovely location right on the Korana River. Restaurant, breakfast buffet are very nice, there are amenities such as an indoor pool, and the staff are very friendly and helpful. This time, however, the hotel was showing just a bit of age. For some reason the air conditioning is getting noisier yet less effective. It took a long time to get a hot, stuffy room comfortable even as the din of the fan straining to cool it was irritatingly loud. The thermostats they have installed--to save money?--are a huge pain and do not work well. You basically have to ask the front desk to set your room temperature. And ask again, and maybe a third time, because the system is not accurate or sensitive. We had to change rooms once, and with the problems in our second room the staff assistant literally said "I think you should forget about the air conditioning and just open the window." Really, just forget the a/c and admit the humidity and mosquitoes (it is over a river, after all) when paying $ 125 for the most basic room in what is supposed to be a 4-star hotel? This was a step backward, as is the Wifi (that now requires getting a little scrap of paper with a different password for each device). These small irritants aside, still a lovely stay at a great hotel.

Attractive and high-standard
Wonderful service and a lovely peaceful location right by the river in a quiet public park. Breakfast is generously till 11 and if they run out of things they will make for you specially. You can eat & drink on the terrace, morning and evening. Sauna etc. Very recommended.

Splendid spot on the Korana river
Socked me with a surprise tax that was supposed to have been included in the fee paid to Hotels.com. Not sure if the hotel itself or Hotels.com was to blame. Very unpleasant to be literally going out the door at checkout and have the clerk say "Wait, one more bill, there's a tax to pay!"

Greatest hotel on Croatia outside of Zagrab
The hotel was awesome and very homey. The area was great. Right on the river with a great view, country feeling and within walking distance of the city. The restaurant and food were great. The hospitality from the bar tender/waitress was beyond spectacular. Her name was Kristina and she was very friendly, informative, interesting with great knowledge of the area, the city and the hotel. Her knowledge of the region's wines was excellent. She was also the waitress for the evening meal and was very responsive and made sure we had everything we needed.

Nice hotel
Hotel gives a free breakfast till 11am but if you come late most of the food is gone and does not get refilled. So you need to get up early if you want breakfast. Menue needs a overhaul with fresh fish not frozen....Other than that this is a great place and close to everything.

There isn't much choice of hotel in Karlovac, and that is reflected in the high price of this hotel. Nice people though - good service and the room was spacious and comfortable. No complaints.

Friendly. very clean hotel a great base
Hotel set in fantastic grounds with friendly staff, who were very knowledgeable of the area and super efficient. The room was a typical hotel room design with good quality furniture and very very clean, with a very reasonably priced mini bar, the only downfall was there was not a facility to make a hot drink in the room. The hotel restaurant provided a good selection of local and international food, freshly prepared to order and very reasonably priced. Overall a very pleasant stay and if I was ever in the area, this hotel would be my first call.

I stayed many times as there is no other hotel in karlovac which is decent. Unfortunately due to this I think they charge to much...no competition so they are overpricing themself.

Pleasant location in park next to river.
We spent 3 nights here. The staff were helpful and spoke good English. The hotel and room were clean and it is a really good location in parkland. Breakfast was good and could be taken outside with a view of the river. Recommended. The only point to note that is the hotel seems to have a number of evening functions with late night music, you might want to check in advance if this would bother you.

We were greeted by exceptionally friendly staff at check-in and it only got better from there. The room was spotless and the housekeeping staff did a great job keeping it that way for our entire stay. The food was exceptional, as was the service in the restaurant and bar area. The hotel is set in a park that offered walking, cycling, running paths that ran throught the park and along the river, and just overall a beautiful setting. I will not stay anywhere else on my return visit. We were treated like family.

The hotel is being used by group tour buses. Buffet food which is never very good is served for dinner. You can order off the menu which we did and that was good.

Best Hotel in the District
Lovely hotel positioned on the river making an evening or morning stroll a delght. Dining also takes place on the terrace overlooking the Korana river which is beatiful. Staff couldnt do enough for us (arranged a car, GPS and transfers to Zagreb). Would definetely stay there again.

Excellent Hotel
This is an excellent small hotel located just outside of the town centre. The quality of service, friendliness of the staff, quality of the rooms, décor and cleanliness were all of a very high standard. The outlook was also very pleasant overlooking the Korana river. Only downside was the quality of the food for a 4 star hotel could have been better.

The hotel was located in a very beautiful spot on the river and within walking distance of Karlovac center, allowing visitors to experience both a quiet natural holiday and a more urban experience. The staff was very friendly and spoke English - a big plus for us. The rooms were a bit small, but had all the amenities of a 4 star hotel.

Fint gammalt hotell precis bredvid floden. Bra mat på kvällen men frukost var inte så imponerande. Vi hade ett lite större rum och det var riktigt stort. Bra för vi var 3st och det var som två rum med två wc och en dusch👍
