Good Location but....

Posted 19-Apr-2017
Pros: Location and staff are very friendly.
Cons: It's a budget hotel. I stayed at this here in 2009 but on my current visit, it is clear that they are not maintain standards.
Location: Top spot restaurant. Rain-forest kayaking (very, very good). Fairy caves.
I informed the staff, every day for three days that the AC unit in the room was leaking and not working properly. The night before leaving, we were offered a different room. Too little, too late.

Sarawakian??? Really???, You give shame to Sarawak

Posted 11-Feb-2017 on Hotels
I don't mind if it's cheap, and pay what you use etc etc etc, coz i have stayed in a cheaper hotel/dorm. As Sarawakian, bringing a fiance hoping to get at least a warm welcome from Sarawakian is just hopeless when staying in Tune Hotel Kuching. Rude staff. What is the purpose looking at your guest from head to toe twice??? no, EVERY single time when he had to enter the hotel, and being judged as if he's a criminal, just because of his look? Shame to Sarawakian working in that hotel. The worst customer service ever. Not to mention, no parking available, please change the details in the advertisement page. Because when asked the rude staff, he said "just check outside", when the all car parks were occupied. Good for those who have good experience with this hotel. But double standard, and being judged (because of race, ethnicity, looks) is so last centuries. Unless, if that's Tune Hotel Motto.

Poor Stay Experience

Posted 29-Sep-2016 on Hotels
Rooms are Small, Bed Small, Bathroom was Not Clean and the Floor at was very dirty. There was small bugs and ants in the Bathroom. The Beedsheet and Blanket was Stained and Dirty. When I arrived the Receptionist was missing. Had to wait for 15 minutes just to check in. Main Entrance is not Luggage friendly. They have only 5 TV Channels, 1 English and 4 Malay / Chinese. WiFi was very l very bad. Better to look at other nearby options. The only Good this is The Location of Hotel. I Surely will not Recommend this Hotel.

Close to downtown Kuching, this hotel was good cheap accommodation. Definitely recommend to overseas travelers visiting Kuching

Good location.

We didn't expect any luxurious hotel, just clean and comfy to stay in and sleep well. The first day we arrived there was water spilled on the toilet floor. I let them know and someone was working on it, but clearly he couldn't fix it as there was water next day again. I told them about it but they didn't do anything, but moped it. They said it was holiday so there was no one to fix it and the hotel was fully booked so they couldn't change our room. Then, there was always some water on the floor. One night I realised that they didn't give us extra toilet paper, but we were tired and I didn't say anything and next morning, I used the one that I had. The toilet paper holder was uneven and another day, the paper roll fell into the water on the floor - as they just give only one roll per day - had to go downstairs to ask for another roll and I explained the guy in reception that the roll had dropped onto the floor water. He gave it to me and said that I had to be more careful! I still feel the same sensation when I recall the dialogue. It's ridiculous to say that! I couldn't believe that a host in a hotel tells a guest to be careful with toilet paper! Especially when it's their fault not to fix the bathroom stuff and they just give one roll per day. Apart from that guy, I don't remember his name, all the rest of the staff was very friendly and nice. Breakfast was fine too.
