This hotel should go for major renovation. Roof leaking, tv screen snowing, breakfast can be better, only good point is the staff is helpful

Ok town area
Stay for short while ok . If stay longer other choice.
Pros
Room was big and spacious. Breakfast can be rated at 3/5. Staffs were extremely friendly and polite.
Cons
Room and toilet were smelly. Room was fully carpeted which was too old and had alot of stains. Bed and furniture inside room were too old and dusty. Toilet and bathtub were not clean and too small.

Good service and friendly staff.
The hotel is okay although it has some minuses becoz it is an old building. We still use a key to open the door. Over all, my stay was comfortable as the room provided was very spacious. The friendliness of the staff and good services had compensated for some negatives which were minor.

Old hotel, badly in need of maintenance.
Had to change rooms 4 times before getting room with air con and wifi.
Staff were excellent in process.
Swimming pool was disgustingly filthy and dangerous in terms of possible diseases. No towels were available.
We would have changed hotels if not for front desk staff Shirley and door concierge Robert giving us such great service.
Our stay was very pleasant and comfortable.
Breakfast and other meals were very nice.
It was far from food for us as we only eat halal as it was mostly a Chinese area.
Traffic noise makes it hard to sleep. Not able to connect to wifi easily. Breakfast good. Staff helpful. Convenient to city area.

Grand hotel near center...
Another grand hotel that's seen better days. Therefore the rooms are spacious and the price is reasonable. The staff were friendly. Only downside: I found it cheaper to eat, drink & do my laundry elsewhere...
The hotel is old and shabby and quite far from the centre of Kuching. The noise from the street was very loud, and a loud vibrating buzzing noise which was not coming from the fridge or the air conditioning kept us awake. The stains on the bathroom floor and the hairs in the bath were also pretty horrible. Our room was on a 'smoking floor', which meant everything smelled. Would never return.
I went with couple friends. I checked in superior deluxe room. My room is in front of the lift. I want to change because it might lack of privacy. Luckily i was great. I haven't heard any noise from outside. Unfortunately since my room in front of the lift, my friend room quite bigger than mine.
Stayed for 3 nights. The receptionist suggested an upgrade to a family room with one king size bed & one single bed. Glad I took the offer. Spacious & comfortable. Easily get great food nearby.
The hotel overall was ok except that the toilet has to be refurbished. The shower towels were bad. Generally we liked the staffs and the location. Taxis drivers were cutting our throat.
Hotel environment was cozy and comfortable. Room was spacious and clean. Bathroom may need to be upgrade because the water tab for the bath tub was not function and broken. Overall a nice stay.
1. Spacy, Comfortable and very clean room with adequate lighting system.
2. Air conditioning cooling system probably needed improvement.
3. Mini bar.. 3 bags of coffee/tea instead 2 bags ( 1 morning, 1 afternoon ,
1 night time)

Good place but too bad everyday rainning not able to go side view go the wrong month. But still have good day
they are actually nice people in the hotel Grand continental. they are co-operative people. you will find exactly as seen in the site. my stay was good. the hotel is too safe and no one annoy you during your state. there are somethings old in the room but the hotel staff can change it if you ask them about.

Comfortable hotel near the heart of the city.
It was a pleasant stay, with the hotel being comfortable but a little basic facilities wise. The decor is clean but a little out dated. I had breakfast there one day but was not impressed so ate out the rest of the time I was there.
