Exceptional Molokai vacation condo - Steps from Hawaii's longest beach

Exceptional Molokai vacation condo - Steps from Hawaii's longest beach

8/10 Good
"We had a wonderful five-day stay at Josh’s two-bedroom condo at Ke Nani Kai. The property was fantastic, and we enjoyed the amenities, especially the pool and Jacuzzi, which we used daily. Overall, the condo was great, but a few minor issues: the second bedroom’s mattresses were thin and springy, making it difficult for our kids to sleep comfortably. We also noticed dust behind the dressers and under the beds in both bedrooms, and the living room sofa had a strong odor. The condo also felt a bit dated, with older cabinets and decor. Despite these small concerns, we loved Molokai and appreciated how responsive Josh was."

"Walter made check in and our stay a breeze! It was our first time in Molokai and we had a blast! It was clean, quiet and my daughter loved the pool. The only downside was the restaurant and bar at the hotel was closed for construction. That would have been a great touch."

Frequently asked questions

What is the best area to stay in Kualapuu?
The best area to stay in Kualapuu is the central village itself, particularly around Farrington Avenue.Kualapuu village is a small, former plantation town offering a glimpse into Moloka'i's agricultural past. Farrington Avenue is the main street, where you'll find the Kualapuu Cookhouse, a local favourite for meals, and a few small shops. This area is quite spread out, characterised by single-story homes and lush green spaces. It's an ideal base for exploring the island's central and northern regions. For families, staying in Kualapuu provides a relaxed and friendly environment. The slower pace of life here means children can enjoy open spaces, and there's a strong sense of community. The village is well-positioned for day trips to the Kalaupapa National Historical Park, and it's a short drive to the north shore's less-frequented beaches.Couples seeking a peaceful retreat will appreciate Kualapuu's quiet nature. It's a place to unwind and enjoy the island's natural beauty without the crowds.
When is the best time to go to Kualapuu?
The best time to visit Kualapuu is during the dry season, which runs from April to October, offering the most consistent sunshine and pleasant temperatures.During these months, you'll experience less rainfall and generally calmer seas, making it ideal for outdoor activities such as hiking the scenic trails around the island or enjoying the beaches. The weather is typically warm, with average temperatures in the mid-20s Celsius, superb for exploring. For travellers who prefer slightly cooler weather and fewer crowds, the shoulder months of April, May, September, and October are particularly good. You'll still benefit from the dry season's pleasant conditions but with a more relaxed atmosphere before or after the peak summer holiday period. While November to March is the wet season, it still offers plenty of sunny days and lush green landscapes.
