Reasonable price hotel & good location
Convenient location & eateries around.Lots of massage palours around the hotels. Don't let the touts bring you to their illegal place. Go for those big massage spa house. Food is everywhere. Packed area with traffic jam.

Great value and best located hotel
I only came to stay for 1 night but was really impressed with This hotel. My room was lovely, clean and spacious and very quiet which I wanted. Awesome location, I think the best location in Bukit Bintang, so close to Pub St and Jalan Alor.

Run down hotel
Overall the hotel location and price is fine, but the hotel really need to gear up and make sure their rooms is upgraded or at least clean up and vacuum as the carpet smells and felt dirty.

Room was smelly. There were prostitution happening in the hotel. Pretty much an expensive 0 star hotel. The only good thing was the location.

The staff including security guards r so friendly. Always able to joke. Hwever...the rm was left to be determined. Bed comfy yes..but pillow cases were old n didnt look tht clean. Small side table beside the bed attached to the wall wasnt stable at all. Too little power sockets in the rm...there was a certain kind of smell when i 1st checked in n same smell returned when i turned on the a/c. The water flow in the taps n shower are too little and slow. The heating for the shower needs to be looked at. There needs to be a telephone in the rm so guests can call down to recept or houskeeping if they need something. N maintenance n checks need to be looked at to eradicate pests. Overall...if ur not too picky this hotel is good. I picked it anyway because of security and friendly staff

Cheapest pool in town but tired hotel!!
Wrong size sheets on bet now towels until 5pm due to "laundry van accident" shabby conditions and trainee staff unable to make decisions.... lots of bites from 1 night stay.... hopefully only mosquitos... not recomended unless you want a pool on a budget.... great area for eating dinking and 'foot ' and other massages

Hotel is old.Escalator to the frondesk at the lobby not working.No service phone in the room.Lights are dim.Linens are old and worse is that there are many bed bugs crawling in the bed.Really disappointing although the location is good.

Ideal for budget travellers. Condition of the room is decent considering the amount you will pay. Restaurants and commuters are nearby.

It's just an old hotel, broken escalator, no WiFi in room, old tube TV, no telephone in room (I couldn't call the house keeping to request for iron and board), not going to stay there anymore.

Was recommended but don't stay unless it's for a desperate one night. Housekeeping staff asked for a tip BEFORE cleaning the room. Bed linen was old and threadbare..bugs on the floor and on the bed. However the pool was great but no towels available. Maybe the premiere rooms are better but only stay if on a budget.

Itchy back for a few days so many showers.
On arriving at about 7pm only a couple infront of me took 20m to checkin. The hotel need to employ more staff. I booked a premium room, woke up on 1st morning and itching back looked in mirror red bite marks all over back and on arm =bed bugs. After shower went to reception and requested new room they said wait 2hours as 12pm. I took of t-shirt to show back to everyone in reception and said change my room now so they did and new room no bed bugs. I think the hotel try it on they put people in a room with bed bugs and hope you don't have an issue, instead they need to replace the matress or duvet with a new one, otherwise this will continue.

Tuan Puan means Mr. Mrs. in Malay language
Had a long wait for check-in. The booking shows Tuan Puan Chew which was different from my presented ID. The reception manned by foreign personnel, thus they were not aware that Tuan Puan means Mr. Mrs. in Malay language thus they delayed my check-in without clarifying with me on the difference. The hotel is old and the general maintenance of common areas is poor. The room desk was not cleaned with sticky substance and the toilet bins were not cleared.

Great location but very run-down.
I don't remember the hotel ever being so run-down. There were tiny roaches in the bathroom. No phone in the room to contact housekeeping / reception. No shower cap. And I had booked a deluxe room. The mattress was sunken in the centre. But the breakfast was not too bad. The location is superb.

This hotel is centrally located on Bukit Bintang, which is about the only good thing I can say about it, although their can be a lot of noise at night time as it's next to the nightclub area. To be fair, the reception staff were efficient and very helpful. We needed to change rooms and this was expedited efficiently. My problem lies with the service staff, who were very unhelpful and, in actual fact, obstructive. We needed extra towels because the shower curtain is too short to drop inside the bath, resulting in continually wet floors. We managed to 'win' a couple of extra towels when we changed rooms but the service staff would not let us keep them. When I insisted on doing so they actually came back with security! I was not happy. It's not the way to treat a paying customer. The hotel is now in poor condition and needs a top to bottom refurbishment. Loose tiles and fittings in the bathrooms; in need of a repaint; not enough sockets in the rooms. They should close each floor in turn and do the work required to bring it up to standard.

the room are really not clean and the room facilities are not good at all. as i have been told its renovated room but all the towel rack and cabin-ate were falling apart. only i can recommended good about the hotel is everything is close by. over all 4 out of 10

This is worst hotel we have stay,there is bed bug on the bed and bites my daughter whole hand and leg we even snap photo how the bug moving around the bed,we told the reception to change the room but they still give us the room with bed bug that is 12 th floor room

Absolute dive and great location
Didn't think this hotel get any more run down.it has. no internet on our floor,ancient tvs fuzzy and green, no telephones so you have to go down to reception, Rooms dirty, mould around aircon outlet, bath tub had been repaired so many time it was dangerous and bounced, carpet outside bathroom always wet, even after 5 days.

Utterly dirty, smelly... worst hotel ever...
Dirty...dirty... utterly dirty... bed sheets strained with blood and god knows what else... mouldy rooms... unbearable smell since you step in. No towels unless you make a big fuss and then you would get them about 3 hours later after repeatedly demanding them and finally not moving from reception. The biggest rip off I have ever faced on a holiday. The pictures on the website are not the reality. On our arrival we were asked for more money to get a decent room. After refusing and spending a night in a dingy room I managed to be moved to a supposed a better room (Deluxe or according to the staff an executive room)... phones do not work either... so everyone every time you need something you have to spend 10 minutes in a poorly working lift....hot like a sauna. The state of this hotel falls below any acceptable standard. What an appalling experience!! I've never seen so many people complaining at once with equal situations.. If that the way that tourism gets treated in Kuala Lumpur, well... I will never come back..

Substandard hotel
Getting more and more run down. This stay , tv all but down, three channels , two malay one CBN. No bath in this room. Window latch broken , so window stays in a not tightly closed position letting noise in. Couldn't use the in room safe. Everything so dated now and badly needs a large injection of money to bring up to a better standard. As usual breakfast is mediocre. Unfortunately my last stay here. Note, the ëxecutive simply offer WIFI ( which just about all hotels have in every room now) and a flat screen (same comments)

The location is the only thing this aging property has going for it. The shower curtain was *covered* in black mold. When I asked the front desk to have it replaced, no one came for 48 hours. (I gave up and checked out early) One of the pillows had a bloodstain on it (really), and there were several long hairs on the pillow when I checked in. The walls had either mold or dirt on them in multiple places. The bathtub/shower was cracked, and had quite a bit of "give" to it. I was afraid I would break through the fiberglass anytime I stepped into the shower. I've stayed in run-down places all over the world. I've slept in guesthouses in 3rd world countries that were nicer than this. It's a shame, because 25 years ago this might have been a nice place. The location really is great, and just a few minute walk from some of the best street food in the city. The view I had from my room included a really nice view of the KL tower. The couple of times I interacted with the staff, they were friendly. However, that no one ever came to change out the moldy shower curtain is poor service. Apparently the property is under renovations, though it wasn't clear if they are working on the rooms. The day I gave up and left early, they cut all power to the building, so there was no WiFi, no air conditioning, and lights, and they planned this to be from 9am - 5pm. I would not stay here again.

Hotel Soleil - Bit old, but GREAT value for money
Hotel Soleil is a bit run down, generally tired. It is getting a renovation. It is relatively clean and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and made lots of effort to give a good guest experience. It is great value for money. You cannot beat the location!!

Location was good. Staffs were polite and friendly. Rooms were dated, not clean and missing hair dryer. Kettle was not working too. There were strands of hair on bed sheets. TV only had one working channel, BBC News and it was a 21" CRT tv. No facial or hand tissue provided.

Hotel Soleil has not changed much since it was re branded from the Radius many years ago. If you have low expectations then you should be fine here. Its 5 mins walk to Bukit bintang so location good. The room was on 16th floor and was classed as a premier room it was old and dated but pretty big. Only one towel per guest provided, so no hand towels and NO bath/floor mat. Reception tried to be helpful. Room tv old and bad reception only found BBC world news in english. Breakfast i checked was only 15RM but was not worth it (im coeliac so no options) Bed linen ws good,after cleaning one day no new towels were left, I called the reception she was very casual eg she answered with just a Yes? and left me on hold i think to chase up towels but after a few mins i hung up. she did call bck to say towels on way. 30 mins later still no towels called again it seemed a bother that i called her again lol, then house keeping called to say can i wait another ten mins for the towels to be dry lol nearly an hour for towels. wifi worked fine in the room
