More a 3-star than 4-star

Posted 01-May-2018
It's little dated and old. Room has decent size, but less comfortable and welcoming than some other 3-star hotels. Shower stall is hideous. It reminds me of a shared one at some hostels I stayed. Pluses - price is very approachable and location is convenient. We paid less than $60/night in late April (Krabi's shoulder season). And it also has a decent pool. Staff in general is nice, but a couple of them seems uncaring. Didn't eat here so cannot comment on the restaurant. By the look of it, we thought that we could find better foods outside with better prices and we did.

Pleasant stay

Posted 08-Apr-2018
Pros: The kids club was a deal breaker. It did not provide structured activity but a break away from our room for our son to play in.
Cons: I think it offered suitable facilities for the price. The food at the pool bar was not great and could be improved to taste more authentic.
Location: Perfect for getting to the wider Krabi area. I must recommend the Emerald Pool. It was definitely the highlight of our trip.
This hotel offered exactly what we needed for a short break to Krabi. Its close enough to all of the beach restaurants and bars which Ao Nang offers. The pool and kids club worked a treat for our toddler. And its just off the main road so that you don't hear any noise. Staff were pleasant and even enabled a late checkout so we had enough time to do a few more activities and change before our departing flight.

Nice hotel with unique pool access rooms

Posted 03-Mar-2018 on Hotels
The check in staff is so lovely here! I had a pool access room which I highly recommend. You have a private balcony, loungers and gate to the pool. The pool is on the small side and people do start saving the limited loungers as early as 7am. The pool can get quite busy before and after lunch - kids often bring inflatables and there are numerous beach balls. If this is not your scene, get a room away from the water slide (kid magnet). I had a diagonal room from the slide and had the balls constantly being thrown up on my balcony - not a big deal but a word of caution if you are looking for peace and quiet.

The hotel and staff were very nice. The breakfast was good, however, the young girls cooking eggs had no idea of what to do. The valve in our shower was faulty and water temperature could not be set because the valve was not functioning and simply needed to be fixed. I mentioned this to the front desk and they said that they would repair it immediately. This did not happen. I asked to see the Manager and she said that it would be fixed. It was not. She said the problem was related to the water pressure entering the hotel. I build houses and explained the problem with the valve to her. I hope they fix it as someone could very easily be burnt.

Not again

The property is a little run down. The air conditioning smells like old towels and feels like they have a mold problem.

Great hotel for value

Posted 27-Feb-2018 on Orbitz
Pros: Staff, Pool, Bar drinks (ginger cocktail is amazing), location
Cons: Beds are way too firm
Location: Good location, easy to walk places, cheap tuk tuks to Ao Nang beach.
We stayed here on our honeymoon Feb 2018, the hotel is in a great location and has very nice facilities. I had a spa treatment there, which was amazing. Our room was spacious and clean but did have a musty smell which is hard to get rid of due to their humid weather. We did ask them about this and they brought in an essential oil burner which took care of the issue. Our only complaint about the room was that our bed was extremely firm. The hotel offers a large breakfast spread that was good, but there were way more nonwestern items on buffet than western items. Overall this hotel is a great location. You can easily take a tuk tuk to the beaches for 50baht each. The hotel also has an agent that will help book all excursions. We really found that staff to be helpful, especially Boy...he was professional, helpful, and friendly. I would recommend this hotel to anyone but be aware the beds are VERY VERY firm.
