"OMG we LOVED staying at Stella's traditional inn. It was so quaintl you felt like you were a guest in an old greek village home, with all the modern amenities. Eg: the bathroom light was an old revamped oil lamp. Water pressure, excellant and even loofah;s available; cool and breezy under pine tree shade when Kato Sakros was boiling, and All windows and door were with screens to protect from mosquitoes. It was so peaceful and quiet you could hear your thoughts and sunrise over the ocean view...

"The Coriva Beach hotel is a delight. Everywhere you look, the property is beautifully maintained, everything is just aesthetically pleasing, the staff is warm and friendly. The hotel is not opulently luxurious or overdone. It's a family owned place: three brothers took over the management of the place from their Dad. So, it doesn't have that Hiltony-Marriot-like corporate feel to it. Instead, Covina is homey, relaxing and comfortable. Breakfast options here are varied and delicious, with tables...

Hotel Flisvos

10/10 Excellent

"Great location and staff was outstanding.."

Althea Suites

10/10 Excellent

"Très beau et propre. Nous avions tout ce dont nous avions besoin. Il est cependant ardu de se stationner pour la première fois, mais une fois que vous repérez bien l’environnement, c’est plus simple. Il est néanmoins nécessaire de se stationner plus loin et de marcher 10 minutes."

Terra Minoika Resort

10/10 Excellent

"wonderful location and atmosphere, patios looking over the sea"

An authentic stone Cretan windmill

10/10 Excellent

"Top ! Location superbe"

Casa di Cornaro

10/10 Excellent

"My stay here was amazing. The room was on the top floor with a beautiful view of the water and sunrise. Extra large balcony to sit and enjoy music from the promenade. Inside was modern and stunning. Bathroom and vanity area perfect size. Large queen size bed super comfortable. All things in kitchen to cook if you want but the restaurants are all in walking distance as well as a spa. I can’t wait to visit again. Contactless check in was great."

Casa di Demezzo

10/10 Excellent

"Very nice modern property. We had a balcony that overlooked the ocean . No air condition needed since there was a nice breeze if you let the balcony doors open. We did not have a parking problem . We had two cars that we could park in front of our apartment. If you want a peaceful and a quiet place this is your place !"

Charming Cretan House, Jasmine

8/10 Good

"Eine saubere, schöne Wohnung, groß genug und Kinderfreundlich in Lutterbek. Wir waren mit insgesamt 7 Personen in der Wohnung, davon 3 Enkeln. Zum Kochen war etwas wenig Platz in der Küche. Lutterbek ist für sich ein netter Ort, aber von dort aus kann man auch viel in der Umgebung unternehmen."

Castri Village Hotel

8/10 Good

"Ver clean, lovely host, wonderful views, closer to Kouremenos Bch than Palaicastro was, in the middle of everything we wanted to see and do. Breakfast was good; wifi was having issues while we were there, but a bit of tolerance for the roads and the wifi of eastern Crete is a must."

The Old Pomegranate House - Sea view - AC - WIFI

10/10 Excellent

"The Old Pomegranate House was an enchanting place to stay. Views of the bay, beautiful sunsets and a cozy, well appointed, clean space to call home. Perfectly located to explore Eastern Crete. Recommendations from our hosts were detailed and really enhanced our trip. They also left us delicious feta, and local tomatoes and cucumbers- we feasted on these for breakfast our entire stay. We hope to return some day! "

When is the best time to go to Kouremenos?

The best time to go to Kouremenos is during the shoulder seasons of May, early June, September, and early October. These months offer pleasant weather, with warm temperatures great for enjoying the beaches and outdoor activities without the intense heat and larger crowds of mid-summer. You'll find the sea warm enough for swimming and the winds are typically more consistent, which is ideal for windsurfing and kitesurfing. For those primarily interested in watersports, particularly windsurfing and kitesurfing, July and August are also excellent as the "Meltemi" winds are at their strongest and most consistent.
