This was the best service I had in all my travels! Also, it was calm, no loud music, not too much tourists, giant beach with no one on it sometimes! The staff was so nice and professional! The room was excellent. Perfect place to relaxe.

Good size room and lovely view from balcony. Pool was perfect temperature, there were plenty of loungers, and beach was clean. Staff very friendly. Excellent breakfast spread. Filteted water easily available in line with their no single use plastic policy.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay over New Years. We had two ocean wing connecting ground floor rooms for our family of seven and they were spacious and great. Highly recommend Ocean Wing for the private reception, more attentive service, breakfast options and quieter pool although the ocean wing is far from all kids activities.
We had an issue with beach golf but the staff apologized and more than made up for it with ensuring we got to do all the water sports we wanted. Sheldon at water sports was a star.
They need to train their staff better. Our checking was worst. Staff was trying to sell us an upgrade when we didn’t take it we were given the key and ask to go and find our room. In this event they forgot to tell us about the hotel facilities and activities offered. In the morning when we were trying to look for the activities they were either completed, started or full. Basically, we could not participate in any of the activities offered by the hotel which we initially planned to. I ordered a coconut water with coconut meat but the coconut came without the coconut meat and half of the water was spilled. I went to the reception to try to book for diner, we were completely ignored and the lady kept working on her computer acting as she did not see us. We eventually left.

In general staff were friendly but room isn't as expected. For example room amenities e.g. disposal slippers were torn a sign of it had been used before or it's a low quantity product. Otherwise, in general hotel has a great location for a pleasant holiday

The resort was very good overall. Good food options. Great pool and activities for the kids. Nice beach. Waterslide was a highlight for the kids. Only downside is we thought we were going at a quite period (last week of June) but the resort and island were very busy and it was difficult to get spots for activities that required bookings.

The staff at this hotel are exceptional and very friendly. The hotel has seen better days. It’s very worn and tired. I would say more a 4 star. When it first opened I can imagine it would have been amazing but everything just felt faded. The grounds are very week kept. Long lines for the breakfast on the weekend. The hotel is a little remote so there’s nothing near by. Again - staff make this place great but needs updating as fell short of what I would expect a Shangi La 5 star resort to be.
Warm and exceptional service. Beautiful property. Every dining experience on the property was terrific. My family thoroughly enjoyed everything.

The room is really nice and the breakfast too. Would be even better if we can get more food choice in the daytime as well!

There are many activities you can sign up for that is organised by the hotel. The staff are friendly and ensure that I was cared for throughout my stay. Love the room (ocean view) and service the most! One downside is there is nothing much to explore out of the hotel and it is a distance to travel out.
Beautiful hotel and surroundings. However, did not offer value for money like other Shangri-la resorts. Garden wing seems a little outdated as compared to ocean wing. The food and beverages were top notch.
I like the bath-tub in the balcony (Ocean Wing room) but the waiting time for food can be quite long. We ordered room service at 7pm, but food only came at 9pm.
Very nice resort; self-contained; super clean and friendly; very relaxing
