Hawaii vacation

Great place on the ocean. Pool was perfect. We were able to watch the turtles in the ocean as well as the whales right from our patio.

Location great but pests were not

My son and I stayed for spring break. We were aware there was no air conditioning which makes for warm nights (the back bedroom gets much cooler at night if you prefer that). No A/C means an increased likelihood of pests such as roaches. We are not scared of bugs. We live in MT and enjoy backpacking, etc. but the amount we had to spray and kill each evening made us eat out much more than we wanted and spend much more money than we intended.

Awesome Stay

This condo is amazing: you can enjoy a magnificent view of the ocean from the lanai and you are a few minutes away from a snorkeling beach (Poipu) and a swimming or boogie board beach (Brennecke). So super view, super location and very clean apartment. What else do you need? A pool? There is one on site that is rarely used as people go to the beach.

Cockroach fumigation is required

The unit itself needs updating, something the owners need to take care of, but the management firm, Koloa Kai, needs to do a MAJOR fumigation of the unit. Multitudes of cockroaches in the kitchen, both real small to medium-sized roaches. They offered to come & put out roach traps, but that didn't interest us at all because 95% of the roaches were on the counters, and other places in the kitchen. Even the freezer & the silverware drawer were not spared. I USED TO LIVE IN HAWAII AND AM AWARE OF ROACHES BEING THE NORM IF NOT ADDRESSED, BUT THERE HAVE BEEN NO RENTALS IN HAWAII VISITS OVER THE PAST 25 YEARS IN WHICH WE HAVE EXPERIENCED THIS BIG OF A PROBLEM.Also needed: replace chairs on lanai that are falling apart, service both bathrooms' toilets as they run off & on throughout the day and night.This unit needs a more diligent cleaning team as well. Not at all certain where the cleaning deposit is applied but renters such as ourselves aren't getting our money's worth.

5 nights in Poi’pu

Unit is just as described. They literally thought of everything we could have needed. Wonderful location, beautiful views, comfortable & welcoming facility. The communication was top notch. Felt as if we could call for anything we may need. We’re from Michigan & used to cooler nights, so no air conditioning made sleeping a little tough. But we knew up front it was not an option.
