Very quaint. Peaceful. At the end of a beautiful beach that had everything we could ask for and only a short walk away. Restaurant staff and all hotel staff were very nice. The white sand villa was beautiful! Can't wait to share my photos with family and friends. Highly suggest renting a ATV from Lederhosen Bikes (in main town by the pier, right across the street from the clock tower) because there are beautiful view points up in the mountain beside koh Tao cabana that are worth seeing, safely.
We loved our private bungalow with incredible ocean view! Comfy bed and delicious food on site. The breakfast buffet is outstanding. Totally recommend for the price, although it's a bit far from town if you want some more of that action. We stayed two nights near Sairee beach to enjoy that aspect of the island and then closed out our vacation with two perfect nights here as a treat to relax and unwind.
My shower didn't produce hot water. Had it fixed every day for a 5 day stay. Never worked. secluded resort. I guess it's the infinity pool ( unnecessary ) and overly formal restaurant that ranks this a private resort. The rooms are bigger than most, except mine, the hot water didn't work. 5 days of repairs still no hot water. Attentive staff, very lovely, the beach is private. No hawkers no beach massage. A bit of a shame really. I prefer the " real " Thailand. If you want overpriced westernised food and fresh towel choose this resort. If you want to go to Thailand choose somewhere else.
It was a bit far away from where everything was happening, ie bars and restaurants but you could defo walk or else get a tuk tuk. Staff were so helpful and polite. Breakfast was a little bit of a let down as most of it was cold, although I did get up quite late !
We were originally planning to stay here for 3 nights but extended our stay after the first day because we loved it so much. Our hut was right on the water and tucked away in the rocks. It took about 10 minutes to walk from the reception to our hut but it made it all part of the experience. Jansom bay was a 5 minute walk away and was absolutely incredible. The restaurant was also very good. Bamboo huts made our experience at Koh Tao amazing. We loved the rest of the island too. Highly recommend Bamboo Huts!!
Was our first time in Ko Tao, had a very pleasant stay at Haad Tien. Rooms and bathrooms are very clean and complete; the resort i understand is relatively new, and this shows. The views we had from our room where excellent, looking over the bay. Staff were friendly. Restaurants where nice. Highly recommended.
Wonderful place to stay and great location with awesome beach and short walk to town. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Dive shop and dive master Nume were both excellent. I would highly recommend staying there and using the dive shop ! Would love to back there again!!
we had a great time in Jamahkiri. the staff was very nice, the room was clean, nice pool area and there is a boat that takes you within 5 minutes to a very beautiful, quiet and clean beach. the only thing that was a little bit bad was all the staires in the hotel, but still its definitely worth it.
the hotel is far from the main road so you have to take a taxi.
It was my first time in Koh Tao and I wanted a hotel with a nice view and where I could see the sunset, this was THE hotel!!! I had my own private cabana on a cliffside with a beautiful view, very clean, great location and the MOST AMAZING FOOD!!! It was the best food I had for diner in all Thailand and the prices were excellent. The breakfast which is included is okay, not super. They also have this super cute pool bar, open late with amazing music and the best view ever!!! They are transportation for free to the pier offered by the hotel. For the price I paid, this hotel was AMAZING!!!
Ko Tao, or Turtle Island, is a peaceful destination attracting scuba diving enthusiasts to its sandy shores off southern Thailand's Gulf Coast. Rugged dirt roads span the island and lead to Shark Bay, a favorite snorkeling spot, and South Sairee Beach, where weekly trips take divers to Sail Rock. Dive schools with attached resorts, bungalows, and villas are among Ko Tao's accommodation options.
