We loved our private bungalow with incredible ocean view! Comfy bed and delicious food on site. The breakfast buffet is outstanding. Totally recommend for the price, although it's a bit far from town if you want some more of that action. We stayed two nights near Sairee beach to enjoy that aspect of the island and then closed out our vacation with two perfect nights here as a treat to relax and unwind.
Stayed in the white sand villas - lovely rooms, very comfortable with air conditioning and shower room in a lovely setting. Had a great time and the staff were very friendly. Location almost on Sairee beach was also very convenient, with a decent scuba school (Big Blue) about 5 mins walk away. Not the cheapest but definitely worth the money!
It was a bit far away from where everything was happening, ie bars and restaurants but you could defo walk or else get a tuk tuk. Staff were so helpful and polite. Breakfast was a little bit of a let down as most of it was cold, although I did get up quite late !
We booked this hotel with a 50% discount, and we were happy we did not pay the full price. However, we felt like the hotel treats the 50% discount customers differently. We were traveling with a baby, but were still given one of the rooms that was more difficult to access. We knew we booked a hide away villa, but there were plenty others with much better access, and we specified in the booking that we were traveling with a small child. We traveled in other 5 star hotels in Koh Samui and Koh Phangan, and special attentions (baby cot, extra towels, extra water) was given for the baby, but not this hotel. The location is beautiful, on a remote beach, and that is what we enjoyed the most. The flip side is that it is only accessible by taxi, which is around $15 one way for 2 people, so it adds $30 every time you want to go eat outside of the resort. The food at the restaurant is good but pricy. Many items are the same on the lunch and supper menus, (same description, same price) but the portion is less than half at supper... Overall, the main feature is the location on the beach. The bungalows are nice, but the beach bungalows are much more maintained.
Wonderful place to stay and great location with awesome beach and short walk to town. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Dive shop and dive master Nume were both excellent. I would highly recommend staying there and using the dive shop ! Would love to back there again!!
We were originally planning to stay here for 3 nights but extended our stay after the first day because we loved it so much. Our hut was right on the water and tucked away in the rocks. It took about 10 minutes to walk from the reception to our hut but it made it all part of the experience. Jansom bay was a 5 minute walk away and was absolutely incredible. The restaurant was also very good. Bamboo huts made our experience at Koh Tao amazing. We loved the rest of the island too. Highly recommend Bamboo Huts!!
Was our first time in Ko Tao, had a very pleasant stay at Haad Tien. Rooms and bathrooms are very clean and complete; the resort i understand is relatively new, and this shows. The views we had from our room where excellent, looking over the bay. Staff were friendly. Restaurants where nice. Highly recommended.
It was my first time in Koh Tao and I wanted a hotel with a nice view and where I could see the sunset, this was THE hotel!!! I had my own private cabana on a cliffside with a beautiful view, very clean, great location and the MOST AMAZING FOOD!!! It was the best food I had for diner in all Thailand and the prices were excellent. The breakfast which is included is okay, not super. They also have this super cute pool bar, open late with amazing music and the best view ever!!! They are transportation for free to the pier offered by the hotel. For the price I paid, this hotel was AMAZING!!!
Ko Tao, or Turtle Island, is a peaceful destination attracting scuba diving enthusiasts to its sandy shores off southern Thailand's Gulf Coast. Rugged dirt roads span the island and lead to Shark Bay, a favorite snorkeling spot, and South Sairee Beach, where weekly trips take divers to Sail Rock. Dive schools with attached resorts, bungalows, and villas are among Ko Tao's accommodation options.
