Fantastic vacation
We spent a total of 8 nights at Honey Cottages and overall it was great! The staff is very nice and the grounds are quite nice. We had a bungalow with a beach view and it was fantastic to step out and basically be on the beach. The beach is very beautiful and is known as one of the best on the whole island. There are about 4 or 5 dogs hanging around the property and they are super nice and friendly with everyone. They made my wife feel safer sitting outside at night and early morning. The only negative comment we would have are that first the daily cleaning of the bungalow or room is not really cleaning but just a quick sweep of the floor, changing of towels and making the bed. No real cleaning takes place in between check-in and check-out.

BEWARE OF THIS HOTEL (!)
One of the worst hotels I ever stayed in. I booked a garden bungalow and when I got to the hotel they gave me a shabby room in the building. When I dared to complain, the hotel manager called a police officer and forced me to leave. What a nightmare it was. The hotel is very dirty and badly kept and the photos definitely DON'T represent reality. They really spoiled my holiday! Well, now you know, and the choice is yours.

Great value! Loved it.
Outstanding beach. Quiet, gorgeous, good restaurant. Plenty of food and shopping nearby. Great service from the staff. My only complaint was no hot shower. Excellent place to stay for the price. Honey cottages aren’t perfect, but we plan to return ASAP. Loved the feel of the small resort.

Miserable staff and poorly maintained resort!
Good thing about this resort is that it’s very close to the beach. That’s about it. Whole three-night-stay our room never really got cleaned, they always left some trash or dirty glasses behind. Always had to ask for the towels and same hair ball was blocking the shower drain since we arrived until we left. Spider webs all over the bathroom. Only one person from the staff managed to smile, others looked very miserable. Which is very unusual for thai people. Also late check-out price was changing when asking different people. Very poorly maintained, not worth of the price.

Beautiful beach right outside
Rundown hotel on a gorgeous beach. Lots of good restaurants including the hotel’s. Staff were kind and lovely. They gave us coffee and came around with fresh fruit every day. At the restaurant, staff held our baby so we could eat. They just came up and held out their arms. So sweet! The room was nothing special and a bit shabby, but clean. You are paying for the location here.

OK hotel in an OK beach in Samui.
We stayed there for a few days in August. Family with two kids - 6 and 8. The first room we got was on the 1st floor (not the ground) and was really outdated. The second room was in the garden on the ground floor and was much better. The hotel is right on the beach - some of the tables of the restaurant are on the beach itself and this is very nice and convenient. This is a very pleasant quiet area and the nights are very quiet. One of the things we didn't like is the fact that there's a long walk to get out of the hotel towards the street and the walk is near a smelly water stream and ugly looking wall. In addition, the street has very little to offer.

nice hotel closed to beach that is all about .hotel staff are not so caring for the guests. Busy on own business. hotel needs renovation and maintainance. our room toilet and shower room sink chocked and called for help.maintainance guy came but still the same everydays .room is very small.lobby and dinning area are so small and no proper rest area for guests. breakfast for the guests are only 2 slices of bread for everyday .no other choice for guests.not enough seats.swimming pool water not change . staff need to improve for the customer service . however, the place is just beside of beach , so i will recomment to other to go there. hotel managemnt need to take note the feedback and service will be improve more .

Clean bungalows on a very nice beach
We had a gotten a good deal and had a bungalow with an open air (screened) bathroom. The bathroom was large and had a skylight above the shower, a nice touch! Our room was clean and comfortable. There was an issue with the room that came up later in our stay, but the staff were great to deal with and they offered to move us. We did move, and the second room was what seemed like a newer bungalow with an updated bathroom (not open air), and a nice patio near the pool. We would definitely stay here again. And would definitely pay the extra few dollars for breakfast to be included with the room. Cornflakes and yogurt is $6 at the hotel restaurant. Cornflakes and yogurt at 7eleven is $1. The location is a bit far from the major tourist attractions but no matter where you stay on Koh Samui you'll be far from something you want to see. The beach was very nice and not too busy and not loud. The hotel has plastic kayaks you can use as well. The town has the usual convenience stores and a few good restaurants on a strip that extends a few blocks.

Totally great! Super friendly and helpful stuff from the first minute. Our room was just on the beach- sew view from 3 sides of the room! Clean, good atmosphere, balcony, huge bad. Nice swimming pool with front and view to the sea, great and comfortable beach. The breakfast was basic but ok and the restaurant in the hotel wasn't that great but there's other places around. The hotel is quiet isolated, 10 minutes walking from the Main Street and generally the area is calm and not busy- we liked it very much, for us it was great

Great spot right on the beach. Rooms are spacious and beautiful view. Front staff were so sweet and helpful. They allowed us a later checkout and we were always greater with a smile. Restaurants and shops close by. Would stay again!

Lovely Friendly Resort
Great location with very friendly staff and owner. Deluxe cottage was great, basic and clean but of a good size with clean bedding and towels provided every day. Breakfast was adequate and cooked to order at the restaurant overlooking the beach. Pool was nice but rather small with plenty of sun beds provided on the beach and free use of kayaks. 5 minute walk to the main street where you will find restaurants severing excellent food at reasonable prices. The resort and neighbouring hotels also provide excellent food if you want to dine by the beach and one has a small supermarket which is handy for those essential things. The only negative point is that it may be dangerous for small children or physically impaired persons due to gaps between stepping slabs in access paths above the fish ponds. Would definitely use this resort again.

Smack on the beach
Samui Honey Resort is tucked away off the main track, but smack on the beach. Staff are very corteous, most understand english, overall a very friendly environment. Nice pool and bar area overlooking the beach. The rooms/huts are quite small and in need of upgrade, but still very cosy. Overall a very relaxed place ideal for families with small children or maybe the retired couple who want nothing but relax.Not much action in the bars along the beach so if you want more action, go to Chaweng. 10 min in taxi.

What can I say?
Whilst the staff were pleasant there were too many things that were just not good enough even for a 3 star hotel. We were told when we checked in that we would have 2 bottles of water left free of charge in the room every day. After the 2nd day of not receiving this, we informed the girl at reception, who said that seeing the housekeeping was working today, we would actually get the water bottles (!) Next day when we had showers there was no hot water. As the weather was so hot we didn't complain and thought we'd see how it was the next day (there was next- to- no water pressure in the taps from the first day also)....There was still no hot water the next day so we informed the receptionist. She responded quickly, by sending somebody to fix this, we left them to the job whilst we went out for the evening. The next morning the toilet would not flush and there was no water in the tap. We once again informed the receptionist who sent someone to fix the problem. This time everything was fixed, there was decent water pressure in the taps and there was hot water. I would not recommend this hotel at all. It is tired, desperately needs renovating. And really, after all the problems we encountered, we should have been offered SOME sort of compensation from the hotel, but that of course never came. Also, for the price that you Expedia charged me for this package (it was not cheap) you should have offered much better value...not good

Gem of Koh Samui
We stayed for twelve nights in a Deluxe Double Room with Garden view. To be honest, when we first checked in we were underwhelmed with our room. It lacked a few features advertised, i.e. pillow top bed and rainfall shower head; it was clean but not updated. The staff (Air, who is great!) listened to our concerns and offered alternatives, however, we decided to stay in the original rooms booked for us. We were travelling with other adult family members and the separate bungalows we were booked in were side by side with a beautiful view of the ocean. The taint of how we first felt when we arrived quickly washed away. This small resort is well cared for. The pool is cleaned daily (it is nice and cool to swim in even on the hottest days!), grounds are well maintained, the breakfast is good and it is steps from the beach. Tasty thai meals are prepared on-site at the Honey Bar and Grill. Burger and fry options also available (they did a custom fish burger for us). We spent some time in BoPhut and Chaweng Beach and were happiest with the location of the Honey Cottages. It is quiet but convenient. When the tide is low, rocks are visible, but it isn't an issue for quality of swimming. The sand is beautiful. The staff was definitely a highlight, hard working and friendly. We felt we found a gem in the Honey Cottages and would definitely return. Tip: Honey Deluxe Rooms have been nicely updated, a bit more in price, but worth it if you want a perfect stay.

When asking to speak to manger she started shouting then she bought the manger over around 30 mins later who I believed was her friend as she was wearing the same uniform. Apart from that hotel was good

On holiday last week of March and first week of April. I found the staff to be most helpful,from reception to bar staff to house cleaning. All rooms were cleaned daily, fresh towels every day and bed clothes every third day.The food both at the pool side bar and the honey seafood restaraunt was more than adequate. The service was both friendly and professional. The location to the beach was amazing,10 metres from room to water.5 minutes walk into local village of Choeng Mon,10 minute taxi ride,maybe less, into Chaweng. A little piece of heaven. Will most certainly be back at Honey Cottages.

We had a great stay at the Honey cottages, but when we went to their resturant I felt it was a bit overpriced for the quality of food. Also when we ate their the second time I found a dead bug in 2 of our dishes. Pretty good location if you want to relax since there isn't much going on.

Really warm reception at the hotel from start to end. Our two year old daughter loved the hotel and Choeng Mon is really family orientated. Would definitely choose Samui Honey Cottages again if coming back.

I would like to visit this place again.
We stayed 8 nights in this hotel. After first day we changed the room because it was used and noisy near the restaurant. The hotel has two bungallows near the restaurant which is older then the others and the locations is bad,the surrounding is dirty, so avoid this two rooms. Second day we got a nice room in the garden, where the most bungallows are located. The garden is beautifull and well kept directly access to the beach. The hotel location is very good and the area is pefect for relax. Only 10 minutes Chewang by motorbike where you can shopping and enjoy the nightlife. Smaller shops in walking distance. I can recommend everybody who like to relax and prefer the peacefull hotels.

And it is great that the Seafood restauran/and A Bar is just around. the corner... Just a 10 minut walk and you are in a main street with plenty of shops.. On y reviens dejà 3 fois...mais lorsqu'on prends la réservation par internet il n'est pas précisé où est le logement...car il y a des superbes chambres et sdb dans de petits bungalows avec vue sur la mer et d'autres vues sur le jardin, mais aussi des chambres dans un batiment en étage avec vue sur le jardin mais nettement moins sympa...petite piscine mais agréable, pas ou très peu de bruits alentours, pddm relativement cher si on ne l'a pas commandé lors de la réservation (du simple au double presque !)..a éviter.. A signaler le petit bureau de change ""My Exchange""( le meilleur taux de tous) à la sortie du chemin d'accès a l'hôtel prendre la route à droite en direction du port environ 350 m sur le cote Gauche...

Genomgående bra Hotel med bra läge på en lugn strand. Fester och hög musik förekom men det var inget som störde oss. Hjälpsam personal. Fin pool, fin strand, bra frukost och trevligt att man fick låna kajak och SUP gratis. Första två kvällarna luktade det illa/avlopp utanför rummet, men det var inget som luktade in och efter några dagar var lukten nästan borta. Sista vägen ner till hotellet är en byggarbetsplats men det går att ta sig till fots längs stranden till stora vägen där butiker och fler restauranger finns.

Début très décevants nous sommes arrivés tard le soir nous avons trouvé du linge sale dans la chambre. En ouvrant une des nombreuses armoires nous avons trouvé plusieurs serviettes sales en boules. Nous l’avons fait remarquer au réceptionniste. Le lendemain matin le manager est venu s’excuser en personne et nous a offert un verre. Niveau situation c’est mitigé. L’hôtel est plutôt difficile à trouver et difficile de sortir si vous ne louez pas de scooter. Par contre l’arrière est superbe , il a une piscine à débordement avec vue sur une magnifique plage. Le personnel est plutôt sympathique nous avons plutôt apprécié le séjour malgré les mauvaises impressions à notre arrivée.

Otel sahile sıfır konumda olduğundan kahvaltınızı yaptıktan sonra hemen sahile gidebilirsiniz. Kahvaltısı aynı seviyedeki çevredeki otellere göre daha zengin. Otelin ufak bir havuzu mevcut ancak yetişkinler için pek uygun değil, hem ufak hemde en derin yeri 1,60 cm olduğundan çocuklar için daha uygun. Ana yoldan otelin girişine ulaşmak için ıssız bir ara yoldan geçmek gerekiyor ve resepsiyonda bulunan çalışanların İngilizce seviyeleri iyi değildir. Odalar biraz eski kalmış, tadilattan geçmesi gerekiyor, ayrıca pencereler biraz eski ve banyonun üstü acık olduğundan geceleri fazla ses geliyor.
