My husband and I stayed at Royal Muang Villas for my birthday and thoroughly enjoyed everything about our stay. From the spacious room and comfortable bed, to the accommodating and friendly staff, great pool and beach area and a lot of food options, I would stay here again in a heartbeat. The resort was even better than in looked in the photos in our opinion. Highly recommend

Check in takes to long, after 12 hours of flights we had nearly an hour after we arrived at hotel till we had our bags delivered to our room so we could relax. We then found we had no hot water. We then went to swim in our splash pool - spa jets were broken. Had a swim anyway - nearly cut my foot open on a broken filter grate on the bottom of the pool. Floor boards in bathroom area moved which caused a nail to rise up - put a bandaid over it so we didn't cut our feet. Room safe didn't work properly, had to enter code around 10 times each way to lock or unlock. A burger ring under our desk from a previous guest still there when we left. Rock slabs used for pathways near beach would move when stepped on, warned about them by a staff member but never fixed the issue. On the 5th day our pool went a shade of green, I assume as we had not seen any filters had come on for a couple of days. Then for a grand finale, on our last day we went for swim after lunch, shortly after going back into our room there was a loud crash outside. Upon investigating we found a lump of CONCRETE the size of a loaf of bread had broken off the second floor villa. It hit the tiled awning above our pool then landed on the edge our pool and exploded sending pieces of tile and concrete into and around our pool, the largest was about the size of a rock melon which landed in the pool where my wife and I had been swimming. Staff called, looked, said sorry and blamed a squirrel. Overpriced, dangerous, rundown

Great place and service
Great hotel with very accommodating staff. It was a very pleasant stay. The only area if improvement would be the housekeeping which could be better as bed sheets were not changed.

We had a really good time at the hotel. Room was great, we had a pool room which was ideal with the kids. Pool big enough to actually swim rather than just have a dip. The hotel pool was excellent and very convenient to go straight into the beach . The hotel is classed as 5 star but this is Thai 5 star. This is not the 4 Seasons. The beach was good and the sea great nice and shallow for the kids. The hotel is getting a little tired in places and the beach could’ve been cleaner. On some days.

Big rooms but we had few issues at first, read..
The Good first , very friendly staff, Big pool with waterfall, onsite massage, and bar, big spacious rooms. The ugly they had no water in our wing or several rooms for almost 2 days mainy during the day due to onsite pipe or maintenance issues ,the guest should of had a choice to get a full refund and check out or free stay especially without running water or shower usage. But after letting it go for a full day we had to ask for a credit the second day which we only got one day credit after a hassle , but the manager seemed to be in a rock and a hard place so to speak and was Professional to deal with. Also the rooms and resort is a little dated, maybe things will improve as the revenue come back or if things get done , you decide just trying to give our experience at that time.

My family and I really liked the hotel location close to restaurants in Choeng Mon, the beach, facilities, good buffet breakfast and the very friendly staff. Accommodation was spacious and fairly peaceful. The property could do with a bit of renovation, for example the wood decking by the villa pool was loose and cracked in places.

Our stay was incredible! The property itself is as promised and described, the staff were extremely responsive, friendly, and accommodating, the rooms were great, and the grounds were picturesque!! We went with two small children (6&7) and they had a great time. The hotel is great for families, as well as, couples. The spa was clean and relaxing. They also offered kids packages. The breakfast that was included for free had so many options and was delicious. I would go back there in a heart beat!

Thumbs up for very good service from staff. Always all smiles, polite and attentive! We moved from Chaweng area to here. There is nothing much around the hotels. Just a few restaurants, convenience shops and massage places. But it is sufficient for a short 3-4 days stay. Overall, it was a very quiet place. Very good for relaxing. Not much swimming can be done in the sea as there are many motors boats in the area. Room wise - We had a suite on the 2nd level with a balcony, but we couldn't use it due to the amount of mosquitoes. The bathroom was huge with a very nice jacuzzi bath. But structured in a weird way, which is not very convenient for families. It would have been much better if the bowl was segregated, not right next to the shower & bathtub!

Paradise + Value = Exceptional Experience
Second time in 2 years and loved everything about RMSV. Personal service and attention second to none, amazing beach, great pool, spa and food. Breakfast could have more variety, however no complaints! 10 minutes to Chaweng by shuttle/taxi, 15 minutes to Fishermans Village and many restaurants to choose from just outside of the property, and on the beach. I am really picky, but I cannot say enough about the experience. I will be back soon!

Great resort with extremely friendly staff. Rooms are spacious and very comfortable. Beach is great and we could always find space. Few restaurants are close by so there was no issue when it came to food. Would love to go back.

We got to Royal Muang villas and were very disappointed as it did not meet our expectations. We wanted to leave the hotel but our booking was not refundable. Tried to speak to the management and Nicollo was so nice and tried to help us but the management above him did not care. Eventually, Nicollo suggested us to move to the same hotel but on the chaweng- Muang samui spa. So we did and had good time although we’ve been much satisfied if they let us leave with refund.

Overall very good, but the pool villas on the 1/F, you can see your neighbour's pool from the deck which isn't very nice. The guests bathroom on B1 seems it's still under construction as some showers don't work and lights don't work.

Our room was a garden view villa with private pool, in addition the property has a large public pool and also beach access. The restaurant was great for breakfast and lunch and for dinner our first night we ate on the beach. We only regret we had only booked for two days. Very relaxing place to spend a few days.

10/10 would visit again
Great experience from the very beginning. Staff are professional, friendly, and knowledgeable about the area. Our villa was a 2 bedroom/2 bathroom with private pool. It appeared that most or all of the units had their own pools, which was perfect for a swim during any time of the day. The complex also has a large pool in back and is located right on Cheong Mon (sp?) beach. Location is not in the middle of a very busy area, but there are plenty of shops and food options nearby. The hotel has a shuttle that takes you to their sister site (~15 min ride) in Chaweng that has more options for nightlife, etc. 100% recommend and hope to be back again soon.
