Probably the best place I've ever stayed. We had a hillside villa with a pool and it was awesome for the kids. It was a hike up the hill from the resort but we could always get a ride up in a golf cart. The resort restaurants were more expensive than the village behind the resort but everything was great (and still cheaper than in Japan). We did several boat tours which the resort made really convenient. I recommend the early bird trip to Maya Beach. We went to Tonsai once and weren't impressed. If you're looking for nightlife that might be the place to stay but if you want a quiet resort with a private beach then Phi Phi Island Village is perfect. The beach is good for small children because the water doesn't get deep for quite a while (at low tide you have to walk a ways to get to the water).
This hotel was exactly what I needed. From the pier, you can only get there by longtail boat I have to mention for 45 minutes. I had a beautiful cabana with ocean view and the room was very clean althought it was missing a few details. There were boxes for flowers on the balcony but no flowers and the outside shower had a window overlooking the ocean but it was rothen. Exept for that, the room was very clean, the bed very comfortable and the hotel itselft was very nice. The hotel has a beautiful terrase to see the subset. It is worth paying for breakfast because it is amazing! They also have a diner buffet with delicious BBQ seafood. The spa at the hotel was okay because the ladies massaging my husband and I were talking together during the massage, kept the lights on and kept the air-conditioning too cool. The hotel has an amazing location due to the coral reef that are right there, by the beach. My husband and I literally walked from the beach and saw the most beautiful fish and corals and its not deep at all. We booked with the hotel a 4 hour private tour of Maya Bay for a very good price and we had a very good time. I would definitly recommend this hotel!!!!
The hotel is the last on the beach , hasn't officially opened yet but they have some rooms that were ready so they listed it on expedia. The rooms are huge with a couch in front of a tv. The 3rd floor has direct access from the room to the pool .
The vies higher up are better. When we got there we could smell how new the rooms were and there was some dust on the floor from all the construction . The staff was super friendly. The breakfast is sent up to your room because the returant hasn't opened yet. The pool is very nice, but be carful cause they haven't finished sanding the steps yet so they are a bit sharp. We told them this and they said it is being done this week as we leave .
They asked us to let them know what we don't think is good so they could improve it before the grand opening. I definitely recxomend this hotel .
"Location is just perfect. Throw your phone away."
Amazing experience. Best place to chill out and wind down to an amazing beach view and beautiful sunsets. Friendly staffs even though they speak little English, it wasn't difficult to communicate. Food choices were a bit limiting on the island. Ferry and boats services were prompt. Very well organized. Will definitely recommend, the beach was just magical. Hotel services were good.
Stayed here for 4 days during a 3 week holiday in Thailand. Hotel was walking distance from the port, and was central to all bars, restaurants and shops. Staff were most hospitable and room was clean and tidy. Would stay here again.
Hotel staff at reception could improve. They seem unhappy with processing so many tourists.
After a 2 hour treck on a hot day by ferry, the hotel is supposed to pick you up at the pier on a long boat to take you to the hotel. They showed up with a poor worker who didn't come with a boat and had to walk all through town in over 100 degree weather and through a beach with our luggage because they said the tide was too low to get the long boat out although all other resorts had their's waiting there.
Otherwise the room we booked on the ocean was beautiful and air conditioning worked well.
Warning ! - This hotel is not for the faint at heart cause there are many stairs and hills to get to your room but once you've arrived, the view is beautiful,
Maid was excellent and always gave us what we wanted greeting us with amazing designs on our beds with towels and flowers. Tip them and you'll get the same.
We moved after 5 days to a hotel next door for the natural settings we loved at the Viking Natural Resort but enjoyed our stay at the Bay View as well and would recommend.
The islands of Ko Phi Phi are accessible by boat from Krabi, Ko Lanta, and Phuket. Phi Phi Don (North) hosts all nightlife and accommodation, while Phi Phi Leh (South) is an uninhabited ecosystem for nesting swifts. The Leonardo DiCaprio drama The Beach was filmed here. The diving is acclaimed.
