As another reviewer has stated, 30 steps to the hotel, 5 mins or so from main town. Not an issue unless you are particularly lazy (which the heat can cause) however... If you are in the furthest (d block) which is up a steep hill from reception it can become a bit tiresome BUT that's the nature of the beast - if you want to be far enough away from the serious noise of town, and not pay loads it might well be a bit up a hill on this island. The room I stayed in was clean, and an OK size. Sound insulation is poor from neighbours, the construction of the room I stayed in reminded me of a portacabin. If a couple a few doors down gets amourous or has a few beers and a chat, you may well hear it. But, if you want peace and quiet, I would say cheaper places on Ko Phi Phi probably aren't your best bet anyway.I would advise ear plugs as a precaution if you aren't going to join the party or are a light sleeper. Shower cut out a couple times, but started working again without needing to complain. Staff were pleasant but my interactions were limited. Oh and watch out for monkeys! Do not leave beer (or anything that you value) unattended on the balcony as they may appear (as we experenced) Overall not great not terrible. Note; ko phi phi can be expensive, for example, 1.5l bottled water is 30 baht, whereas is 14 baht on ko samui / phuket / krabi
