The design of this hotel is like something from Grand Designs, high ceilings and walls all pointing towards the lovely pool and beach area to watch the great sunsets. However, rooms are a little tired and dated, all the metal balcony railing were corroded, and there was a musty smell in our room.

AWA was an amazing experience! From the demanding beauty of the lobby to the sheik styling of the rooms and property. Perfect for families, couples, or anyone staying on koh chang. I highly recommend Awa resort.

We visited with our 2 children aged 2 and 7 months, initially for 1 week. The rooms are big and well kept, the swimming pool is huge and the added bonus of a children's play area which was air conditioned. Breakfast was fine, typical of most 4 star hotels in Thailand. The staff were great and really made our stay memorable; especially Katie, Wanisa, Jenny. We loved our stay here, so much so we extended for an additional 4 nights. We look forward to returning in future.

Overall the property is really nice. Staff is friendly, helpful and polite. The room is spacious. We booked beachfront room and the view is very beautiful with the sunset. There was some dust and hair left in bathroom or on the table from previous guest. And the shower was annoying to control the shower and the warm shower. There was also smell from time to time from the drain. Breakfast is good with variety of options to choose. Still a good place to stay at as it’s also to easy to travel around.

Not a 4 Star, no a beach, questionable cleaning.
The place was probably 4 star in its day, but that day has long since past. Breakfast buffet was good, but additionally charged food/buffet was average at best. The "Private Beach" is not a beachm, its a wall where the waves crash against it and there is a man made attempt of a beach, so if you are looking for a beach holiday/break, as were we, then this is not for you. Cleaning was also hit and miss in that one day our toilet suddenly started overflowing and the cleaner came in amd mopped it, but then used the leaked water to mop through the whole room without so much as a hint of detergent.

Don't believe what you see in the websites of this hotel. There are some pot holes at the hall on the floor that i was stay, the room door couldn't lock properly and golf cart didnt has light it was dangerous when pickup us at the parking area! If i can give the star for this hotel i will give only 2 stars and never come back again.

A lovely hotel with much more potential! We had a lovely stay however, we sadly could tell the hotel could do with some TLC. Sadly after 2 years of covid, the hotel needs some work but a beautiful hotel overall.

Great hotel in a perfect location
We loved our stay at the Awa. The room was huge with a very comfortable bed. Staff were very efficient. Breakfast was nice with a wide range - they had some food suitable for vegans (soy milk included). The beds next to the lovely pool were very comfortable. The area is great with some super restaurants. We would definitely stay again.

It was ok nothing special seems to be catering for the discount crowd from the government. The breakfast isn’t international when no Bacon or Beans available. A very noisy generator bursts into life any time of day or night. The hot water in the shower almost none existent. It was clean and tidy.The location is pretty good. But for 3000+ baht a night I expect better.

Fantastic value for a stunning hotel!
A great hotel in a lovely area with lots of dining options nearby. The staff were wonderful, it is a stunning building and has fabulous facilities. I loved it so much I’m bringing my family back at Christmas. Everything was convenient and it was great value for money.

Relaxing Break - AWA is OK
Our stay was OK. Nothing to complain about but nothing exceptional either.The hotel condition is a little bit tired, but clean and acceptable. The service was good, we had a couple of issues re maintenance that they fixed and compensated us with a complimentary bottle of wine. The TV is a bit small and old vs what you might expect. The location is good but there is no access to a sand beach, the beach access is onto rocks. Due to CV restrictions the restaurant and bars were not open and regrettably this meant we could not enjoy the full services of the hotel. This was not advised to us before we arrived (not good that we were not told). The breakfast service, as a result of the restaurant being closed, was pretty poor. Due to the CV situation we got a great deal and overall we are happy with our stay.

It’s a beautiful hotel ,rooms are big , food is good ,location is great if you want to do nothing. Outside there are quite a few places to eat or have a massage but that’s it and most are closed during the day . The only thing I hated was the lightning in the bathroom, it was so dark I couldn’t shave confidently .

The best hotel at Koh Chang
Amazing design, delicious breakfast with good choice, friendly and professional stuff. Big rooms with very comfy beds and cozy balcony. Only one bad thing that there is lack of beds by the pool and you must to wake up early in order to save a place for you near the pool

Amazing!
So amazing! From the first time we walked through the door to the end of our stay it was an amazing experience! The room is fantastic, especially for the price. Beautiful balcony with a lounge bed on it as well as a really nice sized bathroom. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful during the entire duration of the visit. I cant recommend this place enough!

Service is inconsistent. We had booked 2 rooms. When our luggage was delivered, the porter told my teenage daughter to sort and carry the bags into the correct rooms, despite our request and tip to have him bring the bags into the different rooms. This was totally unacceptable. However, the restaurant staff were very accommodating.

Excellent service, caring and accommodating staff, clean, spacious, rooms with lots of light and breeze, lovely location by the sea. No sandy beachfront but overall still enjoyable--the pool was great, although not enough sunbeds, always 'reserved' with towels by western tourists (but understandably because it was peak holiday season) There was a miscommunication between hotels.com and the hotel about our new year's gala dinner which was supposed to be included in our overall price. But in the end both sides solved it professionally, included us in the dinner and gave us generous compensation, which was very much appreciated. Special thanks to Khun Ka-fae the assistant manager for this!

AWA is nicely designed with friendly staff. Everything is easy to access and relaxing. The only thing I would complain about is the hot water being a bit unstable. Wish this could be improved. Definitely on top of my list if going back to Koh Chang!

Nice resort in a good location. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Infrastructure very mediocre, Water pressure insufficient and not enough hot water. The breakfast food was very basic. The food on Saturday night's dinner was very disappointing.

A must stay resort!
