Great location
For a very busy weekend in Knoxville, the location could not be beat. It had the perfect amount of space for 5 friends who didn’t spend much time at the house. We had all the equipment needed to make a simple breakfast one morning. It was very clean. We would definitely stay there again.

Not very happy
Unfortunately we found this house to be less than acceptable. To get through the front door when we arrived were so many bugs and cob webs. The sheets although appeared clean had stains. In the silverware drawer was a dead bug and old cooked piece of spaghetti. The kitchen chairs were all ripped. I won’t go on but these are just a few examples. We paid way too much for the accommodations. The house is 10 minutes from UT which is convenient. Hard to find the driveway in the dark. A reflector on the mailbox would be helpful. 4 of us stayed for 3 days with enough room for each of us.

We had a good stay in Knoxville, the place was close to downtown and in a safe, quiet area. There’s nothing you can walk to but that’s totally fine. It had everything we needed for a couple of nights, except hangers for clothes.

Good value
The property was a good value, the owner took care of our needs. The only thing we had trouble with was getting up the steep incline of the entrance. We had to back up and get a running start with our small SUV that does not have 4-wheel drive. Other than that all was fine.

Overall very pleasant and good deal for the price. Good location to downtown. Very roomy. Very clean. Comfortable beds. Quiet location (even with guests next door). Nice efficient kitchen for meal prep. Internet stalls a bit. Towels need replacing. Sheila (owner) quickly responsive to small problem first night of our stay. Excellent problem solver. Loved Knoxville. Thank you for making the start of our vacation great.

READ BEFORE BOOKING
NO SWIMMING POOL even though she has a pool listed in amenities, public pool which you have to pay for and not hardly open or swimming in the quarry 5miles away, is all thats available. When I asked the owner about this, she literally said so what and wasn't even a little sorry she had deceived us. The area it is in is very poor and high on crime list, the train is across the road and goes by every other hour through the day and twice during the night, and if the train doesn't wake you up the Cockrell will. The outside proch was filthy with spider and webs covering the whole thing, inside wasn't too bad but the pots and pans were disgusting, grease and grime all over them. She advertises great wi-fi but there was no signal or when there was it kept going in and out, so don't plan on watching the fire tv or using a computer, you could manage Netflix or you-tube. The driveway is very steep with loose rocks over cement which makes it very hard to maneuver especially in a car. I spoke with VRBO but they didn't want to do anything, I spent 4hrs on the phone the first day I was there and nothing was sorted, my vacation was ruined as I booked this place on the fact that it had a pool I could use daily while my husband worked, and I had no car. I would have walked around but the prostitutes and homeless were wandering around all over. All in all it was the worst rather expensive for no pool unit I have ever spent, and with the attitude of VRBO (who said that she wasn't false advertising) I will not be booking with them again, and we book a cabin in the mountains every Christmas.

My family and I stayed here when we brought my daughter for move-in at the University of Tennessee. The house was perfect and only ten minutes from campus. It was clean and gave my family a place we could end our day, each in our own space. I would definitely stay here again.

The property was very clean. The property manager was very responsive. It is better suited for those looking for a couple nights stay. One big downfall to this place is that the thermostat is set at 72. The owner did provide a fan, however. This VRBO is located in a vary low income part of town with plenty of questionable people that walk near the residence. We had zero issues with them. We stayed for five days and were without some basic necessities like hand soap. My wife worked from this place and the internet continuously cut out due to the internet company working on the line according to the owner. We received our email for checking in after we arrived that informed us that there was only enough toilet paper and paper towels for one night inconveniencing is with an added trip to the store. I would like to see more transparency in the description of the place.

Fourth of July
The location was close to downtown, less than 10 minutes. Very convenient to many attractions- zoo, botanical gardens, shopping. The property had a bit of a damp, musty smell. But, it was clean. The kitchen had everything needed to cook meals.

Serviceable and clean--met our needs for a one-week house-hunting visit to Knoxville. My husband worked remotely. An older duplex in an older neighborhood with thrift-store furnishings, linens and kitchen items, but everything we needed to keep house for a week. Awakened by a passing train each night. Met our needs
We were in town for a friend's wedding and the Vrbo was quiet, affordable, and pretty close to both the venue (Ijams Nature Center) and downtown Knoxville. We didn't spend a lot of time there but it met our need for a place to sleep and shower between activities. It's a clean duplex with serviceable furniture and the items needed to be comfortable for a few days. The towels were small and the drains did not have plugs, which made us nervous about losing small items, so be advised on that, but no significant complaints.

We have plenty of room for all five of us and the place was well-stocked. The mattresses were not comfortable and the bedding seemed to not be very clean. Overall it met our needs and was a great location for visiting downtown Knoxville.

RUN BED BUGS!!! Disgusting!!
The pictures show a nicer picture. Once I got there I was so mad. The furniture is so old. Seems like something they found on the side of road! The place was loaded with towels. I did a checklist and was ok. The outside is very nice. However my baby was attacked by bed bugs! We threw away all our stuff so that we did NOT bring BED BUGS back home with us. I end up leaving earlier because I was so mad! Don’t rent this property! I sent the owner pictures no response! I’m so upset because my baby is very Traumatized!

My husband stayed for 2 days and on the second day the property was broken into and several stuff was stolen. The neighborhood didn't seem like a safe place. But since it was our first time renting the property we were not aware of how the neighborhood looked or was. And the owners of the property kind of made it seem like my husband or the other guys that stayed there stole something that belonged to the owners but that was not the case. My husband and others were also missing stuff. So I think the property owners did not handle the situation in a professional way!!

Guest would not allow me to contact the police regarding their claims. Upon our investigation, we found no signs of forced entry into the home. I did the best to address their concerns, but we did not understand why anyone would not want a 'break in' addressed by the police. The Owner

Great place to stay while in Knoxville. A little off the beaten path, but convenient to downtown and UT. The place was clean, kitchen was well equipped, nice that there were common things there (sponge, towels, bedding, dish detergent). I missed the convenience of a garbage disposal, though.

There are 2 doubles in one spot, up a very steep concrete driveway. No play area for little kids. It was so hot last week so we didn’t want to be outside after we got back from our days adventures anyways. There was no dishwasher soap provided, but I did buy some and brought it. The dishwasher wouldn’t use the soap from the main soap thing. I messaged the owner and she was supposed to have maintenance out to look at it on Tuesday and never heard back about it. The TV in the queen bedroom was acting weird (either the TV or the internet) but none of the other TVs were doing it. I was so grateful for the kick ass air conditioning and the washer and dryer!!! The stove and refrigerator were nice. The fridge has ice maker and water! My family and I had a wonderful time and everything that was important was great! Also, this was my first time using VRBO and it was a great first experience! Thanks.

Clean property with the basics provided. Bed was comfy and hvac kept the temperature constant. Bath was roomy but shower head could have had more water volume. Kitchen appliances worked fine. No soap for the laundry washer. Could have used more info on how the TV functions. Did not have the WiFi promised. Would have felt more secure if there was a deadbolt on the front door. Overall, the location and accommodations were reasonable for where we wanted to be and the budget we had. Have other ideas about the setup here that would help this owner if they would contact us.

Nice, clean, well stocked place.
We enjoyed staying at this cute little duplex on the older side of town. Nice linens, plenty of towels, adequate kitchen with a Kerig coffeemaker. I was surprised you couldn't hear the family on the other side, even though they had small children. Very bright security lights that keep the property well lit all night. We only heard the train one time and it was during the day. I, personally, love Trains! Close to Kroger, Ace Hardware and thrift stores. We were her for work, so those were important. Would definitely stay again!

After reading the reviews I was a bit hesitant about the neighborhood, however, the home was beautiful. The space was very open, warm & inviting. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed during our stay. The neighborhood was a bit dated, but that was not an issue. The train came by the first night & it was long, but not disturbing. The beds were comfortable & the home was plenty big enough for our family size. We plan on staying again. PS. My daughter left my phone under the pillow, so if you find it, you can throw it away. I bought a new one already. Thanks for allowing us to stay in your beautiful home. I would definitely recommend!!

This property was just what I needed. It was located near my family. The property had everything we needed from towels and rags in the bathroom to pots pan and dishes in the kitchen. Also had washer and dryer which was very convenient. Would definitely use again if in area.

The rental location was not in the city requested. The home had a very strong unusual smell. I purchased mold testing kits and mold grew in the kits. Mold was visible on the blinds. The home was not clean. I was very disappointed. The listing stated there was a regular coffee pot. There was not. I contacted the owner on day arrival informing her of this as well as the odor. I inquired if there had been water damage because there was a repair started in bathroom shower. I did not receive a reply. The following day I purchased a coffee pot. I received a response from the owner that was simply a “k”. The third day a coffee pot was brought to the rental.

Always disappointed when guests are not 100% happy with my home. Yes, a water leak above shower was repaired/repainted. I dont believe this had anything to do with mold in the home. It was a leaking vent pipe in the rood about the bathroom. Roofer repaired and weak damaged repaired. Mold is unfortunately familiar to East Tennessee. Knoxville is located in the sub-tropical geographical area of East Tennessee/Smoky Mountains where mold thrives. I have brought this travelers concerns to the attention of the housekeeper for cleaning, but due to the climate of the area, mold will always be present to some degree in East Tennessee homes.
