But just because it's secluded with many majestic live oaks securing its privacy, doesn't mean it doesn't come with tons of fringe community benefits. Hidden Aweigh is a part of the Sanderling community. When you and your family stay here, you'll have access to the community pool, soundfront park and pier, a network of trails, and a quick 5-minute walk to the private Sanderling beach access! On the ground level, you'll find a wide and extensive driveway, plus an outdoor shower for rinsing off the sand, and a Classic Weber Kettle Grill to sear your favorite seafood filets. There's also a washer and dryer for convenient mid-week washes. Venture to the mid-level and you'll find plenty of room for your family to retire at night. Hidden Aweigh holds four bedrooms, including 3 queen and a pyramid bunk bed that's perfect for your little ones! These rooms share two hall baths. This shot was taken from the town's boardwalk while looking West over the sounds. It is advisable to visit the location in Winter as that is off season - so you can spend more time taking in the beauty of the North Carolina coastline and also sunsets are usually much more picturesque around the time owing to the cooler temperatures and lower amount of atmospheric haze. Plenty of things around Duck to see. Further north, there is the Currituck Lighthouse where you can climb the steps to the top of the lighthouse. North of Corolla, there is an area where you can drive along the coast on the sand - 4X4s a must. Here you can spot some Spanish Mustangs, horses out in the wild. If you're lucky, you can spot them running along the beach in the surf. I'd recommend taking a tour through the Corolla Wild Horse Fund - the money from the tours is used to help the wild horses in every which way possible and the staff are knowledgeable and friendly. Nice deck and screened-in porch, too bad no view of the sound when you are so close! Window shades in bedrooms great.
