All the staff, we met, were all very friendly. Everything was nice, bright and clean. The Strata Hotel welcomed my 70lb dog, even giving her a gift bag! The one and most unfortunate thing is that it is not wheelchair friendly. My husband found going through the doors, in the basement, challenging.

The room wasn't ready until after 2 hours of the check in time. No kettle for tea despite room description of coffee and tea making facilities. Coffee making machine was really dusty and not enough coffee and cups. Thin walls, I was awoken by neighbours. The heating/AC was not working. Toilet roll was almost finished on our arrival. Chrome cast for TV was not working and staff just gave us a techs phone number to call. We spent a lot of money for our stay and for the cost we were expecting better. The receptionists were friendly but the facilities were disappointing.

breakfast bar a little slow ..15 mins to get tge breakfast wrap.. but it was quite good as was tge coffee and staff was very pleasant but it was a bit slower than expected to get an over the counter egg based wrap
Beautifully designed lobby… allowed for private conversations but felt friendly and welcoming with quite a few guests in the lobby

This is a very nice hotel that is a short drive to Queens Campus and about ten minutes from the downtown. The property was complete refurbished inside and out about a year ago. The rooms are immaculate and comfortable.

Overall, this hotel offered good value for the price. But there was an overwhelming scent (particularly in the hallways and elevators), which I imagine would be very problematic for people with scent allergies. And while the TVs were big-screen, the resolution/definition was so poor that it was like watching television in the’70s. Both of these things could be changed pretty easily for improvement.

Some staff members were not as friendly and helpful as others. There was a hockey team that was very loud and obnoxious, broken beer bottles in the hallways, our stay was not peaceful or restful. I left my iPad behind by accident (entirely my fault) but when I drove back (3 hours to there) I was told that the housekeeping manager had it and was only available between 9 and 5, Monday to Friday. That is the most stupid thing I have ever heard in managing lost and found items. Very disappointed

For the price and our purpose (being close to the Queen’s stadium and pet friendly) it was an excellent choice for us. The outside of the building and the elevator and stairwell are dated however the room and reception area were updated and roomy. Staff promptly addressed a misunderstanding about late checkout fees which was much appreciated.
