Snettisham is a pretty coastal village which is home to the RSPB reserve on the coast of The Wash. Many migratory birds descend there during the winter months and the skeins of geese honking and clattering is one of the iconic Norfolk sights.
Snettisham also has the award-winning Rose and Crown gastro-pub, with enclosed garden and play area. The village is well served with amenities and shops, perfect for browsing away a couple of hours.
The village of Snettisham has everything you’ll need whilst away on holiday – a quaint supermarket with a good bakery and deli, a post office, garden centre, Antiques Centre and a really good fish and chip shop. The “Victoria” and the award-winning “Rose and Crown” public houses both serve good beer, wines and food and Snettisham Park Farm is close by, where families can enjoy feeding lambs, a deer safari or have tea and cake in the café.
The Queen’s country estate, Sandringham House and visitors centre are a 10-minute drive away. Explore the unique Norfolk coast with the many little fishing harbours and inlets. Enjoy the miles of sandy beaches and for bird watchers, visit the R.S.P.B. coastal nature reserves at Snettisham & Titchwell. The Victorian seaside town of Hunstanton is just 5 miles away. The renowned village of Burnham Market with its specialist tea rooms and shops is a must, and if you have any time left, you can hire a boat for the day on the Norfolk Broads.
We have a fabulous newly refurbished Beach Hut ideally located at Old Hunstanton Beach (fully equipped with all the necessary beach equipment).This stunning spacious beach hut with amazing sea views , nestles amongst the sand dunes close to Le Strange Arms Hotel in Old Hunstanton. Close to parking, toilets and a good cafe/shop which sells hot food, ice creams, buckets, spades and kites, you are only a hop, skip and jump into the sea! With a sink (a water standpipe is 20m away), hob with two rings and plenty of chairs, crockery, cooking utensils and things to amuse the young ones, you will have a fabulous time playing in the soft sand whatever the weather. And dogs are welcome too!
Old Hunstanton is a beautiful and safe beach for young children and has the perfect sand for making sand castles. Traditional seaside amusements and the Princess theatre are close by in Hunstanton and of course there is the renowned links Golf Course at Old Hunstanton just a five minute walk away, which could serve as an alternative amusement for some members of your party who maybe don’t want the sand between their toes all day!

From Kings Lynn, take the A149. Remain on this road for about 9 miles. At the Dersingham roundabout, turn left. Continue on the A149 for about 4 miles. Turn right onto Beach Road.
Railway Sidings is first on the right after The Granary antiques centre.
