Coasting on their location

Posted 07-Sep-2017
Pros: Nothing.
Cons: Most everything.
Location: This is the only selling point of the hotel, given its right by the exit to the Euston Square Underground station.
This hotel is only afloat based on its location, I would guess. The room I stayed in - and, I was assured, all other rooms - has an air conditioning unit whose pump makes a loud buzzing noise every 20-30 minutes. This kept me up until I found a switch up near the ceiling I could turn it off with. However, when I did this, the unit started leaking! I reported this to the staff and they said they'd get a repair, but I still should have to mess with an air conditioning unit to get a good night's sleep. The rooms were also small and meagre, with the bathroom in a closet and a tap that would only give hot water. Only stay here if you're desperate.

Great location but the rooms are very small

Posted 30-Aug-2017
Pros: Location, friendly staff & ok continental breakfast
Smallest room I have ever stayed in. Only room for an overnight case (hand luggage). As we had travelled from Australia had larger cases which made it very uncomfortable

Bit disappointed

Posted 21-Aug-2017
Seemed OK on arrival and is very close to Euston Station. The lift took forever to take us up to our floor, the room was the smallest hotel room I've ever been in and the bed was tiny. thankfully it was one night only.

Not cheap and not cheerful

Posted 19-Aug-2017
Pros: Convenient to UCL, KGX, EUS.
Cons: An honest and accurate description of the rooms is required - the description provided currently is neither.
Location: Close to Euston and King Cross main line stations serving the north of England and Scotland. 10 mins walk from the British Library.
I booked this hotel for a colleague. The room allocated had approx 1 ft space around the furniture - it would be better described as a box room. We considered upgrading but the double room shown was just as cramped. The staff display a mixed level of competence from sullen indifference up to adequate. The public areas are shabby and the exterior is grubby. Despite the "free" internet and breakfast included in the room price, this hotel is not good value for money.

Strategic location but limited room space

Posted 07-Aug-2017
Pros: location
Cons: bathroom
The whole room is limited with space, basically 2 luggages and you wont have a space to move on. The shower place water took a century to be gone. But, undeniable, the location is very good if you are going to the euston station, less than 5 mins walking. Clean and staff is friendly. Just the hardware is the problem.

Nice central London hotel.

Posted 27-Jul-2017
Pros: Staff were professional and helpful at all times. The hustle and bustle of the capital was left behind and i was treated to a brilliant night sleep.
Location: Close to many major attractions and so convenient to several major transport hubs that staying here enabled me to spend more time enjoying the city.
On arrival staff were friendly and professional. They completed my check-in promptly in a relaxed and informative manner. The room i was given was perfect for my overnight stay,it was decorated tastefully and cleaned to an exceptional standard. I was made to feel very welcome and the check-out time meant that i did not have to rush my departure for my appointment in Central London.

Terrible air-conditioning

Posted 20-Jul-2017
Expedia displayed the incorrect room photo upon booking so the room was so tiny that the 2 of us had to take turns walking past one another...we were unhappy from check-in. Then, although the room contained a mini split we really did not have air-conditioning. Hotel doesn't want you to use the a/c so they have it set on a timer which caused us to get up practically every hour during the night to turn it back on! No auto so once it got to set temperature the entire unit turned off permanently! Had to check our early & move somewhere else for the duration of our stay in London.

OK for the price

Posted 17-Jul-2017
Pros: The location is great - close to three underground stations so had access to multiple tube lines. Being so close to Regent's Park was also nice.
Cons: Clear signage about how many people should use the lift at once.
Location: Regent's Park was a great escape from the city noise. Camden Town was a quick walk away with great food, pubs and ambience. The canals were also cool.
This hotel had two things going for it - the location and the price. Everything else was marginal. Having traveled extensively, it is common to have cramped quarters but this was the smallest room I've ever stayed in. Was not exactly a relaxing retreat after a busy day. We got stuck in the lift in extreme heat and no one answered the lift alarm so we had to use our cell phones to call the front desk. This seemed to be a common occurrence.
