Overall good stay with too many mild annoyances
We are grateful to the WConshocken Marriott for accommodating our requirement for two adjoining rooms, one king and one two doubles, on multiple occasions. The rooms were clean and well-maintained, although the first set of rooms we received looked directly onto the giant AC vents. However, the front desk staff quickly found us new rooms meeting our requirements.
We were all looking forward to the traditional room service, especially our young daughters. We were unpleasantly surprised to discover that the WCM no longer has traditional room service (just a menu with food you can pick up in the restaurant) with NO kids' room service AT ALL. The staff member to whom my wife spoke was quite rude about it. The food, though, remains top notch.
One bathtub drained so slowly that I was standing in inches of water within minutes of turning on the shower. The chest of drawers in our room was tilted so that the drawers would slowly slide open unless something was wedged underneath it. And our keys often would not open our doors.
The pool was great, but on multiple occasions the hottub was filled with what looked like soapy suds.
When I alerted the front desk to these issues, they were attended to and we were given a free breakfast for the four of us.
My sense is that the WCM has been completely remodeled so that it LOOKS lovely, but that is merely a veneer for some slightly shoddy amenities.
The WCM remains a good deal for the money, by we may rethink staying there again.
