Nice place to spend the night, then hit the road

Posted 28-Jan-2016
Pros: Convenient location and far enough away from the interstate.
Cons: Upgrade cable to high def.
Location: Went to the Cracker Barrel restaurant which was very close.
Hotel is ok but I found the desk chair to be broken and could not raise it. Also, flat screen LG TV which is good but standard definition cable, giving you a below average picture. Breakfast was good with fresh eggs and sausage and the usual waffle maker machine.

VERY SCARY HOTEL. KEEP GOING to another exit.

Posted 23-Nov-2015 on Hotels
Outside doors near my room, in a corner had NO locks nor door handles, allowing anyone access to the interior hallway without going through the Lobby. I was on the first floor and my window was off track (yes it was one you could actually open) so I put it back on track and locked it. The room door to the hallway had light coming in from the hallway on three sides. I slept four hours and left in the middle of the night. I slept in my car at an all night gas station. I felt safer. I would NEVER stay there again.

Last stop on a very long drive. Had 2 infants with us and got an upstairs room with no elevator. Very inconvenient but they said they were sold out. It was just ok. Had to park kind of around the corner in the dark since we had a small trailer. Felt unsafe.

Long Road to Chattanooga

Posted 08-Nov-2015 on Hotels
Not 21 miles from Chattanooga. The website is incorrect. This hotel is not 21 miles from Chattanooga. The drive to Chattanooga on 24 at 80 mph is approx. 25 minutes from hotel to the downtown exit on 24. Longer drive and longer night than anticipated. It is approx. 30 miles from Chattanooga. If you are looking for a place to stay close to Chattanooga, this is not it. It is even in a different time zone. Just upset for being mis-led by their website on the distance to Chattanooga. Aside from the longer than expected drive, there are a few issues with the hotel. The stairwells smelled like cigarette smoke. The bathroom door had metal plates installed to cover where someone had previously damaged the door (odd). The hotel is located in a run down shopping center with a lot of semis driving through the parking lot. The bed was comfortable. However, the hotel could use some updates. This is similar to a truck stop motel off of the interstate, however much more expensive.

Bad stay in Kimbal

Posted 30-Oct-2015 on Hotels
Room was next to vending an ice machine! All night the stair door would slam open then the ice or vending would make horrible noises and the door would slam! If you want to sleep this is not the place!

The hotel was adequate, clean, and reasonably priced. No complaints!

Manager needs to take more active role on weekends

Posted 28-Oct-2015 on Hotels
Lobby smelled like clerk had been smoking. Main LOCKED inner hallway was propped open all night. Breakfast was good and area well tended by staff member. Lots of unsupervised children running in halls from soccer team.

Came for a weekend getaway with the family. Visited Chattanooga and Rock City- was a little further out than we originally thought but only about a 25 minute drive. Overall was a great visit.
