Nice place to spend the night, then hit the road

Posted 28-Jan-2016
Pros: Convenient location and far enough away from the interstate.
Cons: Upgrade cable to high def.
Location: Went to the Cracker Barrel restaurant which was very close.
Hotel is ok but I found the desk chair to be broken and could not raise it. Also, flat screen LG TV which is good but standard definition cable, giving you a below average picture. Breakfast was good with fresh eggs and sausage and the usual waffle maker machine.

Long Road to Chattanooga

Posted 08-Nov-2015 on Hotels
Not 21 miles from Chattanooga. The website is incorrect. This hotel is not 21 miles from Chattanooga. The drive to Chattanooga on 24 at 80 mph is approx. 25 minutes from hotel to the downtown exit on 24. Longer drive and longer night than anticipated. It is approx. 30 miles from Chattanooga. If you are looking for a place to stay close to Chattanooga, this is not it. It is even in a different time zone. Just upset for being mis-led by their website on the distance to Chattanooga. Aside from the longer than expected drive, there are a few issues with the hotel. The stairwells smelled like cigarette smoke. The bathroom door had metal plates installed to cover where someone had previously damaged the door (odd). The hotel is located in a run down shopping center with a lot of semis driving through the parking lot. The bed was comfortable. However, the hotel could use some updates. This is similar to a truck stop motel off of the interstate, however much more expensive.

Bad stay in Kimbal

Posted 30-Oct-2015 on Hotels
Room was next to vending an ice machine! All night the stair door would slam open then the ice or vending would make horrible noises and the door would slam! If you want to sleep this is not the place!

Manager needs to take more active role on weekends

Posted 28-Oct-2015 on Hotels
Lobby smelled like clerk had been smoking. Main LOCKED inner hallway was propped open all night. Breakfast was good and area well tended by staff member. Lots of unsupervised children running in halls from soccer team.

Came for a weekend getaway with the family. Visited Chattanooga and Rock City- was a little further out than we originally thought but only about a 25 minute drive. Overall was a great visit.

We were only there from about 8 PM until 8 AM, so I didn't notice much. The room was tiny. When I looked at the hotel diagram I noticed that there were 4 rooms that appeared to be half the size of the others. We were given one of those rooms, hardly room to move around the bed. I assume we got the room because we were redeeming a free night. It was right off an I 24 exit so can't really comment on neighborhood. It was located in a shopping area, and there were a number of restaurants available that seemed fine. We ate Mexican and it was good. Breakfast at hotel typical: fruit, yogurt, pastries, scrambled eggs, sausage, waffles.

Room was very clean and comfortable. The thing I see the most is the lack of simple repairs, such as paint in bathrooms, caulking around water closet and shower and cleaning the filters on the air conditioner, heater. These are all simple maintenance items that would add to the look and feel of the room. These items are not expensive items to keep up with but it seems like more hotels are letting these items lag behind. Personally if I see these simple maintenance items in need of repair it makes me wonder about other things the management is not doing and all they want is the money now and not in the business for the long haul.

Foi tranquila, com bom atendimento. O Hotel falha na acessibilidade por não possuir elevador.

Detailed review here......

The staff was awesome! We stayed overnight passing through on our trip from Orlando back home to Chicago. That being said, we weren't looking for a 5 star retreat, just someplace clean and comfortable for our family with an affordable price. A warm continental breakfast was served which consisted of eggs, sausage, waffles, toast, muffins, assorted Danishes, cereal, yoghurt, oatmeal, fruit, etc. AND a wide variety of beverages. There were several vending machines and an ice machine on our floor. The rooms have a small fridge and microwave if needed and they were clean and quiet. The hotel is conveniently located right off the expressway with plenty of nearby gas stations so you can fill and go. Ok here are some of things that might be negative but I didn't see an issue: Pool is outside and kind of next to the parking lot which I didn't think was ideal. We had no intentions of swimming so no bother to us. If you get a room on the second floor, there is no elevator. We had an overnight bag so we didn't have to carry up a bunch of luggage. I think that's all. Hope this helps!
