Well this was a mess. Our trip had to be canceled because of the government shutdown. Although there was a no cancellation policy we were hopeful that someone would work with us on changing to new dates, we even could have done mid week. As far as we know this was not even considered or passed on from the real estate company to the owner of the property for consideration. After receiving two no’s I made a final request which was that I was upset about the whole thing and that we would not be coming so could I at the very least not receive communication about the stay ( meaning check in and check out instructions, etc) I also reminded them that I would not be there so it would not need to be cleaned…and of course this could not even be complied with. I received check out instructions from the real estate company. I did purchase travel insurance when I heard that there was a non cancellation policy after receiving an email from vrbo. That was denied as well. The least they could have done was not sent the emails….
