One night stay was great

The hotel was actually nicer than I thought it would be. I usually stay at the Hilton Gatsen Inn but decided to give the Ramada a try this time around. I can say I was very pleased with the cleanliness of the hotel including the room. The staff was great too. I will definitely save money from here on out and choose the Ramada.

Pros: good, good location.
Cons: none
Location: Brew thru, yea, lots of restaurants nearby, and the Wright brothers Kill Devil Hills, not far from other lighthouses to visit.
Enjoyed having the walkway directly behind the motel to the beach access. Also enjoyed the bird in the lobby. Staff was great.

Yes, our pet Sabrina is a lot of fun to watch in our hotel lobby! And the large outdoor deck behind the hotel with the walkway to the beach is the perfect place for guests to enjoy the sun and sea breezes while relaxing with a cool drink or good book. Great location. Really close to the beach.

Pros: The Oceanside view. The staff. The size of the room. It had a refrigerator and microwave. Comfy beds
Location: Right on the beach. Close to American Pie ice cream. Could walk to numerous places to eat
Loved my Oceanside view. Got to see the sunrise from my room. The staff were really nice. I especially liked Tracy. I had to change my reservation last minute and she worked with me to get it right. She worked out all the kinks and made my stay awesome. I really appreciate her help. I love how the hotel had a stairway that led to the beach. Parking was great. The restaurant had an awesome breakfast burrito and wonderful view. I would def stay again.

There is nothing like watching the sun rise from one of our ocean view rooms. We will tell Tracy how she upheld our values for excellent service from check-in to check out, too. Our convenient location between Kill Devil Hills and Nags Head is also great because it is in driving distance to plenty of fun OBX attractions. Nice hotel on the beach.

Pros: Beach access. Outside bar.
The staff was great from the arrival at the front desk to the bartender outside at the gazebo. Great access to beach and plenty of seating to watch sunrise from the deck area and hang out. Rooms were very cleanly and comfortable beds. For the price of most hotels in Nags Head and the quality you get this was a pleasant surprise. Such a great first impression we already booked to return soon.

Great hotel!!!

My family stays at this hotel atleast once a year!!! It has always been perfect! You got the beach, restaurant, indoor pool, hot tub . Everything!! The staff is AMAZING! The rooms are so clean an smell great! Our house keepers were great!! Trustworthy!!

Awful front desk staff. Unable / unwilling to solve simple issues. One spoke English so poorly I couldn't understand her at all.

Disappointing

Pros: The Manager was the only redeeming quality of this facility.
Cons: Staff being taught people skills. Hotel renovated. Rooms cleaned...
Location: The beach started out nice but turned out to be the public beach later in the day. Area is pretty much a tourist trap to put it mildly.
Very rude first contact at front desk. The Manager was much better but the damage (and insulting) was done. Requested early check-in (weeks before) and were denied even a place to put luggage. We were even told we could leave our luggage in our vehicle (duh). Our early check-in turned out being 3:30 for a normal 4pm check-in. The hot tub and pool had something (God only knows) floating in it and I wasn't about to let my family swim in that DNA. The room was a solid one star.

We are alarmed to read that your visit was so disappointing and your feedback is being reviewed with our staff immediately. Early check-in requests are certainly a high priority for us because we want our guests to enjoy the beach as quickly as possible. However, since we cannot predict the timeliness of the prior guests checking out, often since they procrastinate on leaving the OBX area, it becomes difficult to have our staff prepare the rooms for inbound guests quickly enough during full occupancy. Please accept our apology that there was a delay with checking in, but we do hope that you enjoyed the rest of your stay in the beautiful Outer Banks area.
