Love the ease of checking in, the convenience of the location and the amenities were wonderful. The only downside was the AC in both living room and bedroom didn't work well, and with it being 90+deg with no trade winds at the time of our visit, it was a bit too uncomfortable both day and nite.
It was great!!!
Hotel customer service was very nice. Help us in what ever we needed.
My husband and I come to Hawaii ever year and this is our first time staying here.
We love it!!! Walk out side and you're on the beach.
The view from our room was incredible just beautiful.
We're making plans to stay here next year.
Everything about the hotel was nice, very spacious rooms and living rooms, nice view, nice balcony, nice amenities. I loved the grill set up outside and the feel of this hotel. The only complaint I have is that the cleaning ladies are VERY inconsistent on what time they come into clean. During our 11 days of stay there, they would come in around the usual time around 11 on some days, they would come around 8 in the morning, or not show up at all unless we call them and ask them to clean. All they do is replace the towels and make the bed, but they do not vacuum or clean the bathroom area at all. Overall, staying there was a very pleasant experience other than that.
We all have and will document our experiences very differently. However, I read some of the reviews before staying here and can only say that I had a great time in Maui and was very satisfied with my stay. The staff was friendly and the room was clean and comfortable. There was a security presence even though it wasnt needed. The pool was nice and it was 5 minutes or less to the beach. I rode a bike to Wailea and saw the lava rocks, sea turtles, and the snorkeling was cool. I only stayed for 2 nights but had a great time.
Amazing staff! Everyone was very helpful and had no problems checking in late. Every room is an ocean view and enjoyed our mornings and sunsets just sitting at the balcony. The bed and pillows were comfy. The fan and AC in our bedroom were refreshing. The kitchen has everything you need to cook a decent meal. The only minor complaints I have are that one of the lights and the ceiling fan in the living room were not working. It wasn't a deal breaker since we barely spent time in the living room. There are convenience and souvenir stores right across the street. The whaler's general store is open till 11pm if you need to make a late run. There are plenty of places to dine in that are all in walking distance including subway, pizza hut, fish and chips, and mexican food. Our favorite places to eat were Maui Tacos and Da Kitchen! The Kamaole beach is right behind the resort and the best time to go in was from 6-10am. There are plenty of activities to do. Go to Auntie Snorkel across the street to arrange your activities, including the Grand Luau at the Grand Wailea Resort. It was an awesome show! We also loved the location of the Hale Pau Hana. Every beach we went to was in driving distance (10-15min). Walmart, Target, Kmart, Costco were about 15-20 min drive. We absolutely loved the vibe and culture there and talking to tourists and locals. Everyone we encountered were so helpful and friendly. We highly recommend this resort and would definitely stay there in the future!
Landscaping and grounds are top notch. Our room was a bit dated, but had a nice bedroom, two bathrooms, kitchen, living room and great little deck with a vew of the gardens. The building looks like concrete and block construction, so the noise between rooms was minimal. Walking distance to most stores and beaches. Area seems safe.

Kihei has many big-city amenities, including notable restaurants. Here, visitors can sample Hawaiian cuisine and learn about the state’s obsession with SPAM, the canned meat. Kihei’s beaches—Kamaole, Keawakapu, Kihei, and Mai Poina—are good for walking, swimming, and windsurfing. Makena Beach, south of Kihei, is aptly nicknamed the Big Beach. This beach is 100 yards wide and almost a mile long.
