I've been to Ukraine many times, but usually haven't stayed in a hotel! I have to say, the hotel location is perfect, walking distance to anything you might need in downtown, shops, monuments, parties, ….
- the hotel staff is pain, as soon as I got there, 10.30 am, they charged me an early check in and late check out fee, quite a bit more expensive than the online rate…
- asked for a nice room, got a backyard view room, although not a lot of occupancy in hotel…
- staff not very friendly, going in to hotel lobby is kind of dodgy actually, specially the few people sitting in lobby….
- you have a taxi mafia outside of the hotel, a friend of mine called a cab, who charged me 350 Gryvnas to the airport, but when he was parked outside and the other guys saw me getting into his car with my suitcase, a 2meter scary Russian guy came and started shouting at the poor taxi driver, from what I understood, he told him never to come here again… apparently they try to screw you with an easy 1,000 Gryvnas….
The hotel is perfect for someone :
who booked online,
is there on time for check-in (2 pm , don't even try before ) and check out,
wouldn't need anything from staff
just needs this room as a base, go in and out, do your stuff, and don't expect any other thing…
