Olea Villas - Luxury villas by the sea

"Our family had an amazing stay at Olea Villa. Alex and his family have clearly put a lot of thought into making their guest's experience nothing short of outstanding. Their personal touch makes a big difference. Communication before and during the trip was excellent. Alex arranged a taxi from the airport and also made dinner reservations for our first night. He was happy to answer our questions during our stay. Olea is less than a 15 minute drive from Chania airport and 25 minutes from the main town. The villa is modern and spotless, with two bedrooms each with a full bath on the lower level and another bedroom with bath on the upper level. Air conditioners work well in all the bedrooms and on the main level although be sure to keep the doors to the outside closed to prevent the AC from shutting off on the main level. The pool area has very nice views of Loutraki Beach which is a two minute walk away. There is a washing machine down the steps between the two villas. Vicky does daily housekeeping and some laundry and is wonderful. We would highly recommend doing the chef's dinner one night. Stefanos was very entertaining and prepared our best meal of the week in Crete. The ultimate gift, though, was receiving not one but two delicious pies made by Alex's mother, a sweet bougatsa and a savory spanakopita. If you're looking for a relaxing vacation in a high end villa with a true personal touch, look no further than Olea villa. You won't regret it."

"We stayed at Wendy’s Villa for 10 days and had a fantastic holiday. The villa is absolutely stunning and the views over the Mediterranean are incredible. Every morning we enjoyed a cup of tea on the balcony and every evening we relaxed on the rooftop terrace. The recent outdoor renovations have made it even more special.The pool is huge, the villa was spotless, the bedrooms were comfortable and the kitchen, although a little dated, had everything we needed.Wendy was an amazing host. We had a couple of minor issues during our stay but they were dealt with almost immediately. She was always quick to respond and even helped us find the villa when we arrived late at night by sending an alternative location link.A few things are worth knowing before you book. The villa is in a peaceful rural location so a car is essential. Nothing is within walking distance and taxis are expensive. I’d also recommend taking extra tyre and underbody insurance on your hire car as some local roads are rough.Although advertised for 12 guests, we personally felt it would be more comfortable for 9 or 10 people on a longer stay, as the office bedroom and fold-out bed downstairs aren’t ideal for 10 nights.Overall we loved our stay. The villa is beautiful, the setting is breathtaking and Wendy couldn’t have been a better host, so kind and caring. We’d happily book again and highly recommend it."

"We stayed for 10 nights, absolutely beautiful hotel, great location, lovely buffet breakfast. Having our own pool on the balcony in the premier room was a blessing in the heat. My wife and I both had really nice and relaxing massages in the Spa. Will definitely book again, we had a great time. Thank you"

"House is in an ideal spot. Beautiful views, wonderful amenities, and beaches everywhere. Owner and manager were excellent! Very well stocked with household and outdoor items. Great pool. Positioned between two little towns with beaches, shops and restaurants. Would definitely come again. Know there will be cicadas outside in summer."

"Séjour agréable dans un petit complexe de 3 villas. Jolie vue dans un environnement encore en construction. Restaurant et petite épicerie à proximité (1.5km), en revanche il manque quelques ustensiles pour faire la cuisine ( poêle, plats, cuillère en bois...) et pour la nettoyer (le lave vaisselle ne lave rien). La piscine est nettoyée tous les jours et le linge changé une fois par semaine. Pour garer la voiture, pas de parking à proprement dit mais un endroit à l'entrée de la villa."
