Very bad experience!
We were at the Ensana Heviz hotel from September 25 to October 8. . The location of the hotel is not bad. The pool area is laid out normally. Good breakfasts and dinners. The staff is mostly polite. But The furniture in the room is very old and needs updating. Very poor room cleaning. The carpet on the floor was so old and dirty. The balcony was not clean. At the hotel, my husband and I took 14 procedures each, considering that these packages of more than 10 procedures should be at a discount. But we paid for this before leaving and realized that we did not have any discounts and the price for these procedures was greatly increased. The price for 1 procedure is almost 25 dollars. This is incredible! This is a clear deception that we did not expected! Unfortunately we will not go to this hotel again.

We were happy to see that our peaceful surroundings, our staff's attitude, as well as our wellness area gained your approval, and that the food services were to your liking. I am sorry that in other aspects we could not meet your expectations in 100%. I apologize if the room's condition was less than perfect. We have a tiered cleaning system, meaning that our guest can select the level of cleaning they would like to have in their room, by hanging out the appropriate door hanger until 10 AM each day.Thank you for notifying us about the carpet's condition. We constantly change carpets in our rooms throughout the year. Upon receiving your message I have forwarded it to our housekeeping to examine whether this room needs to be moved up in the changing schedule.As for the therapy procedures, we do offer discounted prices for bundled deals. However, this discount is not tied to buying more than 10 treatments. If you had found such an information, we greatly appreciate if you will send us its source so we can update it as soon as possible. According to our therapy reception's records you had ordered a bundled treatment with 12 procedures, and 2 additional ones for each of you. The price of the bundle deal was 290 EUR, so the price of each treatment there in average was 24 EUR. As for the 2 additional treatments, one was 25 EUR while the other was a more expensive one, costing 30 EUR. If you had bought the 12 treatments in your package individually, it would have costed 365 EUR. Thus with the bundle you saved about 20%, compared to the individual prices. Our therapy receptionists do everything to inform our guest about the prices and included services of each order, prior to the reservation of said procedures. I am sincerely sorry if the communication left room for any misunderstanding. I hope I could answer any question that arose regarding our pricing policy. Nice hotel with wonderful healing water
Nice hotel with wonderful healing water from the lake nearby. Very pleasant friendly staff, and everywhere - at the reception, in the restaurant, in the wellness area. The thermal water in the healing pool is changed every day. The thermal pool is only open until 7pm. The rest of the pools and sauna are open until 9pm. This is especially limiting if you plan walks or excursions during the day, and in the evening there is not much time for pools and saunas. How to improve: I'm sure all the guests would appreciate it, if the opening hours were extended by at least an hour, until 8pm and 10pm respectively. Spacious sauna area. Great big finnish sauna. What is unpleasant - the sauna is full-textil zone. We understand different opinions. But when people come to sauna in the same swiming suits they used a few minutes ago in thermal pools - it is really unhygienic and unhealthy for those people and other sauna visitors. How to improve: It would be much more convenient, if sauna is textil-allowed a half of the day, and textil-free afternoons. Nice restaurant. Good variety of dishes. The taste of food for dinner can differ markedly - one day everything is delicious, the next day all the dishes look very attractive, but they taste like nothing. No idea why. For breakfast, the assortment is not bad, but absolutely the same, always. It gets boring after a few days. How to improve: if the chefs could add some variety to breakfast, it would improve the whole experience a lot.

Most staff new English it would be helpful and more international if more more spoke English or better English. I loved the restaurant I always have is the reason why I returned to this hotel. The pools and baths are always very clean and I enjoy the surroundings.

Wonderful hotel with fantastic meals
Our stay at Ensana was absolutely great! Comfortable rooms immaculately clean, soft towels, robe etc. to use on premises. Balcony with very nice view. Great service everywhere. Buffet style breakfast and dinner were always excellent, delicious with huge variety. We had a fantastic time with my Mom. Oh the pools are great, I used the sauna and also got a Thai massage. Five stars on everything.

They did not have my reservation ready upon my arrival. It took approx 45 min to locate it even though I had the reservation email. The staff were both rude and I saw no sense of urgency to locate the reservation. The rooms were adequate size, but the beds were hard and low quality.

An amazing and relaxing but uplifting experience for a first-time wellness thermal spa user from the New World! Good facilities. Choice of many pools and treatments or just relax and enjoy the outdoor pools. Dinner buffet included with many choices. Heviz is delightful. Didn't want to leave. Really recommend this hotel.

When I arrived they did not have the room I purchased on Expedia (an upgraded room with a lake view). I was contacted by the hotel manager who told me they would refund me the difference, which is fine and all, but I chose this hotel specifically because I wanted a view of Heviz from my room and that didn't really fix the issue. Also, the TV in my room didn't work. Oh and we had lunch from the restaurant buffet and about 20 minutes later my girlfriend threw it right up.

As other reviewers have said before the hotel is a little old around the edges however I do not think this in any way will detract from enjoying a stay there. The hotel spa facilities are first class. There is a wonderful heated pool outside and thermal pools inside. I would rate the food as very good and did not understand some of the previous comments made . There is a very varied range of food available to suit any taste. Staff were very attentive to any requests made. I would recommend the hotel to anyone who wants good value and a relaxing holiday. My only concern was the very slow internet but otherwise I was extremely satisfied and would have no hesitation in returning to the hotel in the future.

A very relaxing stay.
We had a very pleasant stay. Rooms were clean, food delicious there were plenty of gluten free options for my partner. Gluten free options were not displayed at breakfast but staff were very helpful and checked for gluten free options. View was beautiful from the balcony of the room. Spa facilities were great and very clean. We would definitely visit again. Thank you.

The hotel was great e.g sulphur spas and sauna The evening meal and service was wonderful made more so by the Hungarian violinist and female keyboard player PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING Hotels.com stated that Parking was FREE.......untrue !!! The hotel staff stated that they have had this problem many times before and Hotels.com should realise this..... We were charged extra for parking ALSO ....bed mattresses were hard and thought to be of foam

I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience, caused by contradicting information that was present on hotels.com's website. Indeed, we charge 2 EUR / night / car parking fee, written among the property amenities. It was due to an administration oversight that free parking was listed among the room properties. We already contacted hotels.com to change this information as soon as possible. As for the mattresses, there is also a possibility to change for one with different hardness, should the default setting prove less comfortable. The housekeeping will gladly provide you with one upon request. Absolutely Perfect. Excellent spa services. Breakfasts & dinners inc. and one of the best hotel buffets I have had, much better than many restaurants I went to. You actually look forward to meals.
