Getting away from Dublin for a trip to Western Ireland, we stayed four nights at the Torine House and enjoyed it immensely. Katherine was a gracious host who not only ran the premises, but also prepared breakfast (continental or Irish Full) for each guest, would arrange tours of The Ring of Kerry, and also was kind enough to hail us a cab. The inn itself is up the hill from Central Killorglin, a small town that is not too far away from Killarney. We hadn't rented a car and were concerned about walking up and down the hill, but it turned out to be a nice walk; only about a five to ten minute walk from the bus stop (in front of the Tourist Office and the library) that had routes to Killarney and Tralee.
