Typisch englisches Guest House

Gut für eine Nacht in Nähe der Fähre! Enges Bad. Zu Warme Bettdecke. Weniger schöne Umgebung.

Pros: Cheap and close to Ferry
Cons: Car parking TV Bathroom door.
Location: Only in Dover for the ferry but the Castle looks like a good day's outing.
We were staying overnight in Dover to catch the early ferry. So Westbank is a cheaper option than some of the chains nearby. We had the top room (6) and it proved a struggle to carry the bags up several flights of narrow stairs. The room was modest but clean. The TV was a little too small for watching the footy (Euros) from bed and the bathroom door rather basic and noisy. Being up at the top of the house there was little road noise and a good breeze ... but the gulls are early risers too so it was just as well we left before 6:30 AM. We had to park on the road as the guesthouse carpark gates don't open till 7:00 AM.

Übernachtungsstation auf dem Weg

Hauptgrund für die Übernachtung in Dover war din Besichtigung von Dover Castle, das wirklich sehr sehenswert ist und über der Stadt thront. Als Stadt ist Dover mäßig spannend.

We loved Dover and WestBank was wonderful. The owners ran their B&B like their guests were old friends. We loved them both!!!

Located only 15-20 minutes walk from the town Center ( or 5-8 minutes with bus ), the Westbank guest house is fairly close to everything. For a guest house it's pretty good and comfortable, but perhaps more suited for a very short stay. The good - Beautiful and spacious room - Friendly reception - Good heating The not so good - very noisy with thin walls that lets every sound in, be that the cars or other guests - Fixed standing shower could be better with more water pressure, but the temperature is good - Unreliable WIFI
