"Great overnight stay... Wish we had longer"
The staff were very warm and accomodating. Ready for a chat more then happy to help however they could. Really old place but considering this and the squeaky floors.... It was very nice. Would highly recommend if u want to stay somewhere with character and charm. It is above a pub/bar but was very quiet.

"Nice and friendly hotel at a quiet seaside town."
The website states free parking but the hotel car park isnt free. We did notify the hotel and they said they would inform headoffice to have this changed. Rooms are nice and cosy, nice views, bathroom is basic but room is homely. The staff are excellent and friendly, breakfast is amazing with good choice and fruit buffet. The area itself is very very quiet, not much to do apart from go for quiet walks. Drove to Canterbury and Margate for more entertainment which was fine because when you want to sleep you dont want drunks and party people outside.

"Idyllic village pub"
Stayed here for my graduation and it was so lovely. We got shown up to our rooms immediately and everything is set out helpfully in the visitor's guide. The rooms we were in were lovely (blue and green). They aren't great for a view but that didn't matter. Only slight issue was how loud things going on outside or below were through my window, but that was only during the day/early evening. Downstairs in the pub is perfect. The cosiest little pub with nooks and armchairs and hops edging the ceilings. Really lovely homely atmosphere - moreso than my local! The food is excellent. First place I've been to that actually serves the right sized portions. Also the first place where I've liked the salad dressing. The location is really lovely. Went for a post-tea walk and saw the lovely churchyard and some excellent old architecture. Plus it's only 15 minutes from Canterbury so it is just the ideal place to stay if you don't like lifeless chain hotels or noisy places.

"Lovely hotel for a romantic weekend"
Stayed here while visiting Whitstable and Margate. Was easy to access and parking was available. Room was lovely and big and very clean. Food in the restaurant was good but I feel a little over priced but with a good selection of wine.
