Convenient hotel for business or pleasure

Posted 22-Oct-2015
Pros: Location, staff.
Cons: Menu could do with an overhaul
Location: Don't know
Having just completed a 4 night business stay the hotel was more than adequate. Staff are all very pleasent, a bit disorganised in the dinning room (especially if you get there as it opens). Gym/Pool facilities were good and both opened at 06.00 which meant you could use them before work! Not the cheapest hotel in the area but a good location. Overall a good level of service and I would probably use it again when I'm in the area.

Average hotel but did the trick

Posted 20-Oct-2015
Pros: The price was good. It had two double beds for a decent price. Good for a family. Swimming pool was nice.
Cons: Could use some redecorating.
Location: Huge Next store next door.
Everything was satisfactory. Large rooms. Needs updating. Check in staff was friendly. Bar staff was friendly. Bar food was decent. Skipped breakfast.

Substandard facilities

Posted 05-Oct-2015
Pros: The staff
Cons: The decor is dated and tired, sound proof the walls, modernise bathrooms, paint the grubby corridors
Location: Great location close to amenities
Noisy! thin walls, uncomfortable bed filthy carpets in the lobby and room. Which is a shame because the room was spacious

Large, conference, business hotel

Posted 01-Oct-2015
Pros: Staff
Cons: Noise insulation
Location: Maidstone Film Studios nearby
Professional staff..large room and comfy bed and bedding. Only bottled water in room had price tag of £3.95 on it. Noisy (embarrassingly) couple next door kept us awake till 2 a.m. When reception couldn't keep them quiet, we were moved to another room. 5 hours sleep and a 200 mile journey to work next morning not a good combination. More sound insulation needed. :(

Transported to a shabby 1960s hotel!

Posted 29-Sep-2015
Bad service, most things in the room were broken and a shower that sprayed water everywhere except for in the bath rub! No customer service, poor hygiene at breakfast buffet and reception staff couldn't be bothered with any of our queries!!!

Average hotel shocking pricing and hidden extras

Posted 28-Sep-2015
Pros: Not much.
Cons: Pricing, location, extras.
Location: If you have an interest in motorways you can see and hear the traffic quite easily from here.
The room rate was very high already and then on arrival we were told that breakfast was another £16.99 each unless we purchased non-refundable vouchers in advance at a slightly discounted rate. WiFi access was also another £14.99 per 24 hours which in this day and age is ridiculous. They also have a pool and gym but it was absolutely packed with screaming kids which I found out from a local is because they can join for £35 p.m. so don't expect any peace and quiet. Overall this is a very average hotel right next to a noisy motorway that thinks its actually in the middle of the West End and can behave/charge as such.

Served it's purpose

Posted 01-Sep-2015 on Hotels
We stayed here for just one night for convenience before taking the Eurotunnel the next morning. It was the perfect location for this so booked despite reading the negative reviews. It served it's purpose for us and was just about acceptable for the night but would not choose to stay here for any other reason. It's very run down & dated & really needs knocking down & rebuilding.
