Well located Hotel, poor bed

Posted 14-Nov-2016
Pros: Location, staff, food & general appearance.
Cons: Bed/mattress.
Location: Shopping, a lot of it!
The hotel is perfectly located for a trip to Blue Water, and we stayed on the Saturday prior to Sunday shopping. We had a nice meal in the hotel restaurant, lovely food & staff, and then enjoyed a drink in the bar area which is comfortable and relaxing. We were, however, disappointed with the room, more specifically the bed. It was uncomfortable and creaked every time you moved. I think it was an old mattress and the springs were noisy and generally just lumpy. It wasn't a great nights sleep at all I'm afraid. Although I liked the hotel very much, the bad nights sleep would probably deter me from a repeat visit.

Room was not clean! Bed covers had stains, rubbish in the cupboards, staff did not know what they were doing.

Lovely convenient hotel for Lakeside!

Posted 21-Oct-2016
Pros: Restaurant and main reception
Location: Lakeside and Bluewater.
Great main reception and reception. Room carpets a bit stained and tatty. Bathroom needs a refresh but would definitely use again!!

Disappointing

Posted 19-Sep-2016
Pros: Position was perfect
Cons: Refurbish the hotel top to bottom
This hotel is in desperate need of refurbishment. Refurbishment has started but decoration was going on around the guests during my stay with no segregation of workspace. Crossing the lobby meant dodging decorators with wet paint brushes. To enter the restrooms in the lobby, you had to literally duck under a decorator's ladder. Hotel bedroom felt like going back to the 60's and early 70's. Check-in took an age because there was only one lady having to manage check in for a long queue. Staff were trying to do a good job but under trying circumstances.

Generally poor standard

Posted 12-Sep-2016
Refurbishing going on no bar area to sit. No room in reception even to sit and enjoy a drink. Had to go to room instead. Dated room and although clean was not at a level expected for a Hilton.
