Expensive for what you get.

Location: Location is great, very central, convenient for bus and train stations
Staff were great, room was a good size, but we'd paid for a child bed that hadn't been set up for us. Breakfast was ok (service was impeccable though, lovely staff) but considering you could buy it for £15 per person, it meant the room rate was very high. Noise levels were quite high due to city centre location, but convenient spot. Wooden floors too so could hear everyone upstairs. Wouldn't stay here again

Weekend getaway

Posted 23-Sep-2016
We had a two night stay in Canterbury in September and stayed at the abode. The hotel was in a great location in the centre of the town and was lovely though the bedroom was small. We had breakfast on the first morning which OK - not the best cooked breakfast but ok. However we had cream tea in the afternoon which was delicious The only thing which upset our stay a little was a busker who started playing outside the hotel at midnight on Saturday. We expected the hotel staff to move him on but they didn't until we complained.

部屋の広さ、清潔さ、利便性は良く、レストランの食事もおいしかったです。 但し、壁は薄いのか隣の物音や声が聞こえました。 総体的には快適に過ごせるホテルだと思います。

Right in the heart of Canterbury

Posted 05-Sep-2016
Pros: Staff is very pleasant and helpful.
Location: Right downtown, with the cathedral and other museums and shopping with a 5 minute walks. A 10 minute walk to the train station.
This hotel is charming, with very up-to-date renovations. The bed is especially comfortable.

Great location, friendly staff, poor internet

Posted 03-Sep-2016
Pros: Location, friendly staff
Cons: The Wi-Fi was absolutely terrible -- the connection method and speed made it virtually unusable. Traveling while far from home requires internet.
Location: Great location in the centre of town
Overall nice experience that was otherwise tarnished by the lack of internet speed / connection.

Pros: nice position
very tired hotel, only lift out of order, tea coffee milk not replenished, sink blocked, no bulbs in reading lights, heated towel rail not working, and shower intermittent. breakfast toast only cooked one side, rubbery and cold eggs, all in all a very disappointing stay will not use any Abode again.

sehr stilvolles und zentral gelegenes Hotel

Posted 26-Jul-2016

Decent Hotel in the Centre of Canterbury

Posted 23-Jul-2016 on Hotels
A decent 4* hotel right in the centre of Canterbury. Parking on site was main reason for choosing the this hotel but £12 a night is a bit steep. Room was clean and comfortable with everything you would expect apart from the very limited choice of TV channels. I would have expected more and considering the number of foreign visitors the total absence of ANY non UK channels is unforgivable. Breakfast was OK but only OK. They try to major on service rather than quality and choice. Again no muesli was unforgivable and the fruit salad notable only for the paucity of choice. Staff were excellent however.
