The open floor plan ensures everyone can stay together, whether you are cooking dinner in the compact but full kitchen, sharing meals in the charming dining area, or watching TV in the living space. The complex also features a shared outdoor pool and grilling area. A variety of adventures can be found in the Kennebunk area, and much of it is in proximity to this home. Walk over to Parsons Beach and soak up the sun as you read a book on the sand or swim in the ocean waves, just a little over a half-mile away. Fishing is available nearby, where a tidal river meets the ocean. Just a little over a mile south is the salt marshes of the Rachel Carson National Wildlife Refuge, where you can go bird-watching or conquer the hiking trails. Be sure to pack your golf clubs, because Webhannet Golf Club is only two miles from your front door. Another half-mile north, you will find downtown Kennebunkport, where you can dine and shop to your heart's content. And Ogunquit is only nine miles away, offering unlimited activities and shops. Ice maker in refrigerator would have been nice, stove needed updating as well. Served its purpose but no more than 4 could stay there. Not enough seating in the living room and furniture needs updating as well. The cottage is one of several on the Shorelands Resort that has been renovated. All of the cottages look nice, and the owner gave us a tour of the last cottage undergoing renovation. The property itself needs some updating. There is a playground with slides and swings for the little ones. The pool was available for use, but it is a bit tired looking. There were outside tables and chairs, but unit 10 has a private picnic table in the back yard. The construction is on the owner's house and the renovation of a cottage. No construction activity happened while we stayed on the property. There are no laundry facilities for Cottage 10\. I did not notice any common laundry facility on the property. There is Parsons Beach, which has access via Parsons Beach Road across the street from the Resort. Parsons Beach is quiet, almost private. You should leave the car at your cottage and just walk to the beach (about 3/4 mile walk). Although the Resort in not in the center of any retail or attraction areas, the property is centrally located to Oqunquit, Wells and Kennebunkport. We would stay at Cottage 10 again. ##### Lewis H. We loved this place. Any interactions with staff we had was great. The space inside the cabins is laid out perfect. Everything you could want to do is 10-25 minutes in either direction. The only disappointments for us was WiFi wasn’t working due to upgrades I’m process and the hot tub wasn’t running because of Covid 19\. The pool could’ve used a little TLC but nothing terrible.
