The QUINTESSENTIAL Irish "stay in a cute little inn above a pub" experience you're looking for! Exactly! Not to be missed. Made our trip so much more authentic and memorable. At first we weren't sure if we were walking into a loud, beer-smelly bar or something adorable and homey, and we were so glad to find it was the latter! This place is lovely—and we looooved going downstairs and having dinner by the fireplace with some gin and tonics and live music—which, to our greatest surprise, you couldn't hear from the rooms! Okay, you could hear it VERY, VERY slightly in the far distance, but I'm an incredibly light sleeper and this did not bother me one bit. It was a terrific experience and we'd stay here again if we were in Kenmare. (Also, we thought this was one of the nicest pubs in town, too! Great combo of class and down to earth.)

      Enjoyed our stay

We loved Kenmare and enjoyed our stay at O'Donnabhains. It was a wonderful location, and it was fun staying above a pub. The rooms were nice and the breakfast was wonderful. This place was a good value, and we'd stay here again when in Kenmare.
