Fantastic location opposite the railway station. The swimming pool is fabulous. Unfortunately, the hotel is badly in need of a revamp. I last stayed at the hotel 11 years ago and it was shabby then. Well it has not been modernised since my last visit. Soft mattress - bad for my back. Good for the budget conscious but the hotel needs to invest in a badly needed renovation

We have redecorated the hotel rooms in the historical part of the building in 2016. these rooms received new furniture, carpet and paint. All with a classical look and feel as we find this complimenting the grandeur of the building. November 2023 we replaced our gas kettle for an environmentally friendly heat pump. We are working on improving our hotel constantly but with the classical look & feel. Not for senior citizens. Only two rooms have walk in showers, both for handicapped. Rest have tube showers. The floor of my room was filthy. However, great location near train station

We would have send someone to your room to clean the room as it should have been. All of our standard and deluxe rooms are equipped with a bath/shower combination. If you are not able to take a shower in a bath then we advice to reserve one of our suites as they have a separate shower and bath. in addition we have 2 rooms that are adapted for wheelchair users, these rooms have a walk-in shower. Great location for transport and walking. Plenty of places to eat very nearby. We loved the hotel bar and arèa around reception & dining area. Reception staff very professional helpful. Pleasant dining experience package prior to seeing Andre Rieu. Room 126 very large spacious. Bed comfortable. Onlt 2 pillows. Nespresso machine. But cardboard cups and whitener for milk! Room could do with a makeover. Including bathroom. But we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

This hotel was fine although the mattresses were of foam rubber and therefore you sank into the bed. The breakfast was ok but also cost 18.5 Euros, which to me was a bit high but maybe the norm for the area.

Staff was very good. Room was clean. However, pillows are very uncomfortable, thermostat was difficult to understand, and NO HOT WATER for two days (yes, I notified the staff the first day ... assumed it would be fixed but had to take a cold shower the second day).

There was a party and they would not be quiet had to move rooms finally at 6am then locked out of new and old room! Madness then went to get keys and four times up and down before the keys finally worked. Asked for manager and was told had to wait until Monday. At which point we were gone home. This after a nightmare three days in Amrath in Amsterdam.

Great location
Staff is very friendly, helpful and always available. Room was spacious and comfortable (junior suite) with a cute balcony. Location was walking distance to many good restaurants. It was very quiet, even though it is close to the train (which was also very convenient)

Friendliness of staff. Morning brunch was exceptionally good. I lost my phone and they showed appropriate concern and helped as we searched around the hotel for the phone.

the lack of hot water was terrible, only on Saturday and Sunday I benefited from normal showers, although I requested at the reception, but without luck, they also did not change the towels (probably they did not expect us to take cold showers), I requested towels twice at the reception , even damaged is better than not at all...the building is old and smells of dampness, it was quiet, it's true...probably because they don't have customers, breakfast was decent, but it wasn't included, I paid extra , the location is good because it is near the train station, but I do not recommend this hotel

Everything was very good. There was a capsule coffee machine in the room so I could make a good coffee every morning. There was also a fridge so I could make some cold drinks in my room. The location iss exceptional. The bus station and train station are just on the opposite side of the street. It's convenient to travel around.

The hotel website says it's 4 star but it doesn't feel like it. The room is fairly basic and there are only paper cups no glasses or ceramic cups. Not the hotel's fault but we arrived on a day where there had been heavy rain and some flooding in the area and the hotel smelt musty particularly in the bar area. The location was good directly opposite the train station but still a journey by bus or by foot to get to the centre of Maastricht.

Lovely legacy hotel directly across from the Maastricht train station, with well appointed rooms, a nice bar and restaurant and a basement full-sized pool.

It is very close to the train station and there are many shops, supermarkets and restaurants, excellent location and safe! Just there is no elevator to the lobby from the street level but it's only like 5 steps...it's OK. Receptionists are kind. Very recommended hotel.

very close to railway station and buses. Close to city centre and shops. Very good breakfast. Had to move rooms as there was a constant high pitched noise from kitchens next door. Staff were aware of this but never mentioned it at check in.Swimming pool very disappointing, cold very dark, changing rooms in poor condition pool itself dirty around edges. No baskets for clothes. it was advertised that toiletries were provided but this consisted only of shower gel fixed to the wall , like a budget hotel not a 4star as this hotel was described as. I feel china cups should now be available in rooms when wanting to make a hot drink and not paper ones provided. The public areas look well maintained but when you look closely in rooms and pool area there needs alot of work and remodernisation. I would not give this hotel 4stars

the floor in room 405 uneven, clearly slanted from one side to another. It is so bad that even the bed was crooked. The internet did not work half of the time. The parking was extra at 20 euro per day i.e. 24 hours I was told. I was charged additional the following day even though I was within the 24 hours.

The European Union closed ALL travel to Europe by Americans. Asked if we can get a refund....Nope, too bad too sad. Can we change the dates? Sure, sometime THIS year. They are NOT customer service oriented. They are NOT flexible. All they see is free $$$

Nice and relaxing stay
I just needed a place to rest as I had been driving all day in rain and poor weather conditions, so I was too tired to continue. The staff was very nice, and after a few minutes I had my key. Both the reception area and the room was extremely clean due to the coronavirus. The bed was ok and the room was quiet. Only thing I missed was a charging outlet next to the bed. I woke up rested, and was very happy about my stay. If I had had more time in Maastricht, I would have benefited from the location, which is very central.

The hotel was lovely and in the perfect location for the couple of days we were there. The staff were incredibly friendly and spoke very good English which is always helpful. The food was also pretty good, particularly the soup we had in the restaurant on the first night. Unfortunately the card machine for the rooms was not working so the staff had to accompany us to our room. No fault on the staff and they handled it brilliantly. The room was cosy and had great views. Only feedback would be that the bathroom looked a little tired and the bath drained really slowly. Otherwise overall a very delightful stay.

A bit disappointing overall. The hotel is old & run down. Breakfast very mediocre. We chose it because of the pool but the changing rooms were dirty with broken lockers & not nice at all. The pool is ok but small. There are no frills. Our bathroom was dark with no nice toiletries - just the soap/shampoo combo on the wall. Shower over the bath almost impossible to use. Tiny pillows & weird air conditioning. Loads of hotels in the town looked much nicer. Very close to the railway station if that’s important for you.
