Staff were nice, view was pretty, everything was clean. A lot of the space felt freshly renovated. Large common area seemed cozy. Check in was easy. The outside of building is painted black, looks like it was a lighter color underneath and there weren’t enough coats of black paint to fully cover it, so it looked a little run down from the outside. Definitely not run down inside. The room was nice — the shower has a half wall kind of thing (not a full door or curtain) which I didn’t love, but not a big deal. Someone else’s long hair was on the bag holding the hair dryer, not the end of the world. The only really bad part — we woke up during the night a dozen times from a terrible metallic screeching noise. I had tried messing with the window to fix it, couldn’t figure it out — finally at 1am, short of asking to switch rooms, my fiance slammed the window closed super hard and the sound disappeared. Had to do it to both windows. Lastly, after a long day I wanted to watch some tv and go to sleep early. Some of the buttons on the remote didn’t work. I couldn’t screencast from my phone or log into any streaming apps. Ok, we’ll just watch cable then — but for some reason it was buffering and skipping the whole time. Oh well.
