We found the room comfortable and clean but had issues with the tv.
The remote control didn't work properly.
When we finally got help the manager told us the in house movies were not available due to a system changeover. She did apologise and gave us a bottle of wine. We noticed that the remote control definitely didn't work properly apart from the missing movies. Apart from this we enjoyed our stay.
Accomodation had a good balance of the charm of a country cottage mixed with luxuries of a nice hotel. Very convenient location- only 5 minute drive to Three Sisters Lookout and Scenic World or to Leura. Great views in the dining room for breakfast. Warm in winter with many gas fires around the hotel. Spa bath and fireplace in hotel room very luxurious. Staff friendly and plenty of parking spots if you want to drive.
Staff were friendly, rooms were very clean and the toilet was even sanitised.
Check in and out were hassle free. There's option to have breakfast delivered to be room and a steakhouse is located right by the inn's entrance so guests will NOT go hungry!
This grand old hotel provided a traditional room for my one night stay. I arrived late so ate at a nearby pizza restaurant.
I had breakfast from the buffet which was more than sufficient, full cooked breakfast could be ordered at an extra charge. The staff on the Reception and in the Dining Room at breakfast were most polite and efficient and welcoming.
My day was booked for an 8.00am start just along Katoomba Street so I didn't have far to go. I didn't return to the hotel before making my way back on the train to Sydney.
There was an added bonus in that my travel to and from Sydney on the Friday/Saturday evenings was free on my opal card because I'd completed four days of commuter travel already that week.
The one bedroom apartment offered the convenience and privacy we were after. Leura is a peaceful town, right in the mountains. A car is the best way to get around, with underground onsite parking at no additional cost, it's ideal. A very enjoyable stay.
This motel on the edge of Katoomba has been there for a while. When we arrived in late August it was cool and the room was freezing since all windows were open. The heater, up on a wall in the corner, never got the room very warm so we were thankful for the heated mattress pad. The bed was reasonably comfortable. The room was very small and not terrifically well lighted. The "amenities" were one container of shampoo and a bar of soap. We did get a second bar of soap on the second day. Walls are very thin so we could hear people talking and singing and playing some sort of flute in the room next to ours. Breakfast was not included and for $7 the offering was coffee, weak juice, packaged bread and jam and cold cereal. Oh and canned fruit, none fresh. For $10 additional, $17 total, you could have an egg and bacon. We did this one day and despite asking for solidly cooked scrambled eggs they were very runny (maybe powdered, not fresh?) and a small piece of meat. This was not listed as a budget option and the rate we paid was not in the budget category, so we expected a lot more from the facility. It seems like the management should be taking more interest in the condition of the rooms, and spiffing up the breakfast a lot. It was one of two pretty dismal breakfasts we paid too much for in our 3 weeks in Australia. Also, this was not high season so in retrospect the rate seemed excessive.

Pocket Guide: Blue Mountains Katoomba - Leura Hotels
The small artistic town of Katoomba glows in its quirk, and is only a stone's throw from the famous Echo Point, which offers a stellar view of the mountainous horizon and the famous rock formation known as the Three Sisters. Affluent neighboring town Leura provides picturesque English-style gardens, which thrive during the Leura Garden Festival every October.
