The staff, as anywhere in Thailand, were friendly and very helpful. But if your enquiry was more than just routine it paid to ask for a staff member with better English, there was usually someone available. The first night we didn't like the double bed in our room, not used to sleeping in one bed together, so we asked for twin beds after the first night. This was no problem and quickly organised.
There were no restaurants operating in the hotel, apart from the breakfast room. Breakfast was great, with a good selection of eggs made to order, fruits, cereals, breads, etc. The coffee and tea could be better.
We came in the "wet" season, which meant very comfortable temperatures of around 30degr C In the 7 days of our stay we had one very heavy downpoor, but otherwise no rain to speak of. I would go again in this time of year, since Karon Beach was not too busy. Always seats available in restaurants etc.

Could not have been more pleased with this hotel, it's staff and on-site restaurant. Overall the Boomervang Village far exceeded our expectations in every way. What started out as a two day reservation was extended to four as we re-arranged our travel plans to include a longer stay at this hotel.

"Beautiful hotel. Up a small hill from the beach."
Loved Phuket but cost of living not as cheap as expected with hotel being a little out of the way. Eg, Tuk tuk = NZD20 for a 15 minute ride into Patong or NZD10 for a 1-3 km ride down the road to the markets (non negotiable). We certainly got the impression one company has all the tuk tuks in Phuket tied up. Plenty of bars, cafes and good restaurants of varying standards to choose from but again not quite as cheap by Asian or Indonesian standards. Hiring a motor scooter was reasonably cheap and doing so got us out and about a lot more to explore & see the lovely island. Phi Phi Island well worth a day trip.
This is by far the best hotel we've stayed in our 3 weeks trip to Phuket. Everything in the garden is lovely. This hotel belongs to Kata group which is big name in Thai hospitality business. The main highlight of this hotel is swimming pool. It has 2 spacious pools + 1 private pool. If you have kids, they will love it. And also location is great. Near to Karen beach & about 15 mins walk to Kata beach. There are good restaurants & shops in close vicinity. 20 mins ride to center. My only small gripe is that you have to pay extra 200/day for WiFi if you want it in room. They have free WiFi in lobby though. Also there's no bottle opener in mini bar.

Upon arrival staff were not the friendliest and check in was not smooth and easy.
The room was ok if everything worked as was clean, but the sheets had stains, the walls has marks and splash marks. The safe didn't work, neither did the phone, half the lights also. The bed was quite hard so I was aching most of the time.
The amenities around the hotel are great. Great massage, great resturant down by building 4 with lovely staff. The hotel amenities werent so great. The pool bar was closed, one of the pools was closed, the pool table was unavailble and there was no jacuzzi I could see.
The breakfast was good, however you had to be early to get the good pastries because once they ran out they did not refill which I think is lame.
The hotel is catered for Russians, so if you aren't Russian, get used to spending your time with them, and they will speak to
you in Russian also. All the signs are in Russian and there is even Russian TV. Not the greatest for the other travellers like me.
Lastly, on check out - the reception would not phone us a taxi or arrange a shuttle for us - although I'm pretty sure on the website it says shuttle to airport provided. They expected us to flag one down in the street for rip off prices.
So in conclusion - for the price, it's ok, but really I would suggest just paying more for a more enjoyable experience.
Only 3 km south of Patong, this beach is famed for its five-kilometre long white beach sand that squeaks under your feet. Mostly single row sunbeds decked along the stretch offer unsurpassed and unblocked views. Turtles are periodic nocturnal visitors to the beach. Recreational activities at this beach include paragliding, windsurfing, snorkeling, and volleyball. Thai Massage and reflexology are also offered on the beach.
