The Mandarava Resort and Spa was perfect! Everyone there was super friendly, the pools were amazing, the breakfast buffet options were endless and the surrounding area was beautiful! I am soo pleased to have picked this resort if your at all worried about the amount of stairs there is I overheard some other guests ask the bell men for a ride to their room and they were more than happy to do so! The daily beach shuttle was perfect easy to arrange and there was also pick up times from the beach if need be, walking to Karon is also an option as it is not that far. If you wanted to explore different areas of Phuket the resort has a list of destinations and prices at the front desk just let one of the receptionists know and they can book it for you then and there! We did this a lot and explored all over we got back to the hotel by tuk tuks and just bartered the price to what we paid with the resort which they all agreed on in the end :) overall I would definitely recommend this place to everyone! I am beyond pleased with how my stay was! Thank you soo much Mandarava
Hotel was nice, perhaps a little far from the beach (it's up a steep hill which makes it seem further than it is) but a tuk tuk will take you from Karon beach to their for 200 baht if you're feeling a bit tiered.
Staff were great, friendly, helpful and spoke good English, helped with any issues I had.
I stayed in a suite which was very spacious, perhaps the sofa was a little old and tiered, could do with being replaced, but apart from that I was very happy with the stay.

This hotel location is awesome..could have a better spot to stay..the pools are great very clean.
Reception was less than happy to see us, mid conversation they took a phone call no apology ..then rushed us to drink welcome drink and get moving.
The room is clean however there was a terrible musty mould smell. I mentioned I cannot stay in this room. They did investigate after telling me to go out for fifteen minutes, and it smelt better after they cleaned it, but this came back over the 4 nights but not as bad.
Having said this I would stay here again purely due to the location.
This resort was the most amazing place and if you're traveling to Phuket BOOK IT! We stayed for the last leg of our honeymoon after traveling through Europe and it was a breath of fresh air! We arrived late at night and were greeted by a cool face towel & iced tea, then taken to our room which was decorated beautifully! We stayed in the 'privilige' section so no kids which was great and we had free buffet breakfast and snacks/drinks at lunch. The location in a few mins walk from beautiful Karon beach which was stunning and offered everything we required. I highly recommend going to the spa, our traditional Thai massages and my mud wrap were divine, definitely worth it! The staff were all absolutely wonderful, thank you so much for making our first Thailand experience and honeymoon so memorable. We will definitely be back! :-)
The hotel was very nice and clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. Very close to the beach. Other reviews mentioned a scary bridge to cross to the beach but while we were there they installed a new one! The road can be a little scary to cross too but they always had someone there to help you.

We picked the Hilton because although there were probably 20 other places to stay that looked adequate and were possibly a little cheaper we hadn't been to Thailand or east before and thought Hilton would be a safe choice and to be fair the photos looked nice. The hotel did not disappoint, it was a huge complex with beautiful gardens well looked after and easy access to the beach. There were three pools one with a waterfall and slide and there was always plenty of sun beds available. Our room was on the 12th floor and looked at the Sea with a balcony which was beautiful at sunset. The staff were friendly, polite and helpful and we didn't have any issues with service. The food was fine plenty of choice but quite expensive compared to local restaurants. Our only criticism is that it did feel a little more like a business hotel because there were a few conferences on when we were there and that some of the outside areas by the communal lifts could do with an update.
The staff, as anywhere in Thailand, were friendly and very helpful. But if your enquiry was more than just routine it paid to ask for a staff member with better English, there was usually someone available. The first night we didn't like the double bed in our room, not used to sleeping in one bed together, so we asked for twin beds after the first night. This was no problem and quickly organised.
There were no restaurants operating in the hotel, apart from the breakfast room. Breakfast was great, with a good selection of eggs made to order, fruits, cereals, breads, etc. The coffee and tea could be better.
We came in the "wet" season, which meant very comfortable temperatures of around 30degr C In the 7 days of our stay we had one very heavy downpoor, but otherwise no rain to speak of. I would go again in this time of year, since Karon Beach was not too busy. Always seats available in restaurants etc.
