A difficult place to find as they go by a different name and the hotel is only in the 4th floor of a building.
The reception desk is located in a very "smoky" bar at the street level.
The room had a dirty carpet, not lights in the bathroom and no telephone to contact the reception desk.
I can say that this is a strange setting hotel..
Nevertheless, the breakfast buffet was excellent!
Karl would experience very little Ruhe were he to be trying to get some sleep today. The construction of the East-West tunnel system has already managed to defy Einstein's theories on time. After 6 months they managed to be 1 year behind schedule. Work starts at 0630hrs and can be described as noisy and continual. This is good if you are paying the workers, not so good if you have paid to sleep close by. 2020 is a projected completion date.
Staff at the hotel are charming and helpful. They went out of their way to not just answer the question (are there any good beer pubs nearby?) but they also checked that their recommendations were actually open that night.

Overall this was a nice apartment hotel at a good price for the room. The hotel staff were friendly overall, although the woman at the desk at check out was a bit unpleasant. Breakfast is good, although you will find much better for your 12 euro, and I would only recommend paying extra for it if you require convenience. The room (maisonette) was pleasant and well equipped, but smelled strongly of curry. It was otherwise clean and comfortable.
Hotel hard to approach due to construction of underground system in Karlsruhe. Once there great staff, friendly with very clean rooms. All room facilities/fittings high quality> Bar and restaurant good.
For the price, it is a good deal. Good size rooms, kitchenette you can utilize for long term stays, nice bathroom. The staff is friendly and the neighboring restaurant is good. I generally enjoyed my stay - the breakfast is nothing special, but there is nowhere near there to get a breakfast, so you are basically stuck with it. The internet is also good.

A city of 300,000 on the German-French border, Karlsruhe is Germany's “home of justice,” as two of the highest courts—the Federal Constitutional Court—and the Federal Court of Justice—are based here. An architectural gem—many of Karlsruhe's buildings date back to the 13th century. Don't miss the ZKM (Centre for Art and Media), and the Museum of Natural History.
