Overall this is a great hotel and lives up to the 5-star rating. I had overall a great stay. The hotel is beautifully designed, sitting right off the beach. Hotel staff is very nice and it was overall a great stay. The only thing to pay attention to is that it gets quite windy around this part of the island on some days. For example the first day I was there I feel like the wind could just blow me away although the next two days were very nice weather-wise. Also the hotel had a corporate event during my first day of stay and it was quite noisy until 10PM that night. I was jetlagged and tried to sleep early but clearly that didnot work with the drums and loud music from the pool area, in which direction my room faces directly.
Kimmy greeted us with a friendly smile and was extremely helpful. They stored our bags for us. Our room was fine for our family of 4 and very functional, nice looking. Pool was great, view of beach great, Napili beach is great. Just a nice, friendly place in a great location. Didn't get to try the breakfast restaurant (Gazebo) but it looked good, and very popular.
I was concerned about staying in a hotel with no air conditioning and no TV, but thankfully the weather was cool enough that we enjoyed our stay here very much (November). Ceiling fans and louvered windows provided enough breeze to be comfortable. The gardens are beautiful and well maintained, we were steps from the beach, the breakfast was good, overall it was a very relaxing place to stay.
Maui is expensive. This place was the cheapest I could find. It's a 10 min ride/20 min walk to Crowne Plaza. The room was huge. The kitchen was well equipped. The bed was comfy. The roosters were not a problem to me. The decor was not to my taste but it was very clean
I would recommend this as reasonably priced Xterra accomodation but not as a luxury place to spend your day relaxing.
The Bay Villas were nice and spaceous! All loacated on a great resort, but all the facilities are on different tabs. Be prepared to pull out your credit card at the different parts of the resort, as they don't all have the same controller. If you really want some excellant local food, right next to the resort is Napoli Plaza, where Mama's Rotisseire Chicken and Ribs is located. This is relatively inexpensive and trully great food.
Very clean and safe for families and couples. Only a 10 minute drive back to main area of Lahaina. The kitchenette is fully stocked with everything you need to cook if you want to. The beach is one of the best in the area because a lot of the coast is very rocky along that stretch. It has great snorkelling. The waves are very big and fun for teenagers, but very dangerous for young children- so don't let them out of your sight. The staff are very friendly and helpful. They let us check in early and out late. The rooms are updated new everything. I could not find a better value anywhere on the island. I would definitely recommend this place to my friends and family.

I've stayed at Napili Kai Beach Resort now twice. Once in the hotel part of the property, and more recently in a one bedroom suite (has a full kitchen). I simply love this property - you can just sit back and relax, taking in the natural beauty of the place. Some things that are easy to do from Napili including, any boat related activity that leaves Lahaina, and checking out the Maui Brewing Company. If you want to enjoy good snorkeling, coastal walking, and easy dining at the property restaurant, called the Sea House- you are good to go. This is one of my favorite Maui properties.
Brimming with hotels, villas, and shops, Kapalua is on the northern end of west Maui’s resort strip. The resort area is also known for its golf courses, which have hosted golf legends such as Tiger Woods and Vijay Singh. A few golf course holes afford views of neighboring Molokai and Lanai islands. Humuhumunukunukuapuaa, Hawaii’s state fish, swim in the waters of Kapalua Beach.
