Great value
Great value and location near the train station. The staff was lovely and very helpful. WiFi was fast and the beds soft and comfy. Breakfast was a bit boring. No omelette or egg station but enough to start the day. The rooms are clean and quiet. Great hotel for its age and again the staff was so kind and helpful.

decent hotel in an old area
The hotel is not the problem. It is good for all aspect. The issue is the area that is a bit old and not catching up with time. There are no good restaurants, no coffee shops like Star Bucks within 5 blocks area. The area was developed probably in the 70s and remain unchanged.

There no socket by the bed. Not convenient. The breakfast is so so. Wonderful staff! And I love that you don't need to use the key card for the elevator. But why do they have to stick to 3pm check in time.

Older Hotel
This is an older hotel with key door and that should tell you a lot about this hotel. It reminded me when I was a kid and my parents booked an hotel to stay for a trip. Couldn't compared to new build hotel with card key to enter your room. Air condition is very weak and not strong at all. Over all the this hotel really needs a update and kind of scary at night time if you are alone.

Iron needs deposit
Hotel is old, but clean. Location is right opposite the Kaohsiung station. Really convenient to get around. There is a DIY laundry just outside the hotel. However iron needs to be loaned with a TWD200 deposit, a little annoying.

value for the money
The Hotel is in the rear side of Kaohsiung main railway staiton. First I went out to the front side of the Station and, a bit complicated to explain, but to go to the rear side, I had to pass though pedestrian bridge (footbridge) over the marshaling yard which was a bit of heavy walk. Later I realized I should have gone to the rear side of the station from the beginning. So, during your stay in the Hotel, you ask for a kind of pass to the hotel people to get a pass with which you can pass through the ticket gate without buying a train ticket and you can go to the front area area of the town. Hope this message is clear.

I picked this hotel as it is near the wholesale market. Overall the location was good. Breakfast was included too. The only thing was the hotel is a bit old and may need refurbishing otherwise the stay is overall pleasant.

Great transfer hotel
We flew in late at night and needed a hotel to stay at before taking a train the next morning. This hotel is directly across the street from the train station, which made it very convenient. It had a good mostly Asian breakfast that included bacon and eggs. The room was clean but the beds were hard. It has a refrigerator but could be improved by adding a microwave. Staff were great.

Below expectation
Firstly the hotel still uses actual metallic key to the room instead of magnetic key cards. Next comes the room interior which resembles somewhat similar to movies set in the 1970(s). One can even wonder whether the furniture can be classified as antiques, while the floor carpet makes you think whether you should always have your shoes on. As business traveler, in-room internet connection or wifi is consider one of the important factor but sadly the network system of the hotel is below minimal expectation. Unlike in Taipei where you can find local food around the hotel, the nearest you can find is 3 blocks away. Hotel breakfast is near to impossible. Will seriously consider not staying here again.

the hotel was old. Decos were showing their ages but still comfortable. Breakfast was OK with the local style. May not suit for western. Towels were clean but old. Location is great and just opposite the train station.

The hotel is good if you will like to take train around, if to take subway.. U hv to pass by the train station, and it is not so convenient as you hv to get a ticket from the train station..

Nice hotel next to train station
I found this hotel to be very comfortable with a nice room that was well furnished. Wifi works good. Window lets in lots of light. Everything was clean. If arriving by train, you cannot beat the location. If you exit the rear entrance of the station, the hotel is literally across the street. Super small issue but it makes any impression; the receptionist gave me a condescending sort of snooty look and looked at her watch a couple of times just because I wanted to check in 30 minutes prior to the 3pm check-in. No big deal. Taiwanese seem to pay attention to the 3pm check-in.

Like other reviews mention, you need a pass you grab from the staff at the train station to get to the overpass to reach the hotel to/from the MRT. The staff is supremely helpful, and honored my mistake for booking the wrong days.

Great location
This hotel is located just across the street from Kaohsiung Train station's Back Entrance (后站). Thus it's easy access to the subway to get around. The hotel is clean and comfortable, with good size single beds and clean toilets. The hotel service is friendly and helpful.

We booked 2 rooms. One room had a faulty lamp in the toilet. Otherwise the rooms are spacious. The location is just opposite to the train station. Overall the environment is comfortable.

Very neat and classy small hotel
Second time staying here. It is a family/business hotel, across the street from the "rear" entrance to Kaohsiung Main Station (rail and bus) , and a little bit of a walk to the closest MRT which is on the "front" entrance to the Main Station, . Ask the staff how to get over there as its somewhat complicated due to new construction as I write this. There is also a large sidewalk shopping area near by. Has a very good breakfast buffet, and there is a decent patisserie, "85C." coffee bar with sidewalk tables on the corner and a laundromat near by (very much cleaner, by the way, than the average under maintained and over neglected American coin laundry).

The room was fine and the staff helpful and professional. Kaohsiung itself is pretty awful by day, but comes alive by night. The hotel is well placed for buses to the big night market (recommended). The main pain with the hotel is that you need to cross the railway line and to do that you need to buy a platform ticvket. This is just once though as the hotel gives you a pass to cross whenever you want.. Obviously it is handy to the raiway station (but not the high speed rail). Breakfast is a quite adequate buffet with a slant opmn Chinese food as you would expect. But plenty for everyone else..

Pretty darned good
Visited Kaohsiung often, during construction of the hi speed rail, so we are familiar with the city. We chose this hotel on our last visit for its price, and nearness to the depot (its the rear entrance) which fit well with our itinerary this trip. The room was clean and comfortable, air conditioning was working as intended, and if you've never been to Kaohsiung in the late summer, you NEED a good air conditioner. Bathroom was a little small, but for the price, I can't complain. This is a business and family hotel with a fine lobby and business center if you don't have your laptop. They lay out a very good breakfast buffet, primarily Taiwanese with eggs and bacon. The staff is courteous, attentive, and bilingual. There's a nice patisserie next door on the corner, and a laundramat nearby. I would recommend without hesitation.

The hotel is easily assessible
The hotel is easily assessible fr kaohshiung railway station the mtr station is just next to the railway station. But you will need to obtain a platform pass fr the hotel reception counter otherwise you will need to pay NT6 to walkthru the railway station to the mtr station. The hotel staff are very friendly and they will answer your queries if any.

The Hotel rooms is clean and big.
The Hotel rooms is clean and big. The bed is very comfortable and huge too. The price is cheap. My wife and me stay there for 3 nights. 1 negative point of the hotel is you have to walk acoss the Railway Brigde from the MRT to hotel else the location is very good. But the hotel do provide free passes else you have to pay NT $6. Overall, the hotel is worth the money.
