Good value for money

Posted 07-Dec-2014 on Hotels
This is our second visit and we consider this hotel very good value for money. It's at the heart of city centre and indeed very cheap. Will stay here again.

The staff was great. The room was beautiful and large and very comfortable. I would absolutely stay there again.

Comfy and clean but not sure about sailing theme!

Location of this hotel is fine, just 5 minutes walk from Central Park which is great for a beer and some of the smarter shops in the city. Clean rooms with big comfy beds. Was slightly surprised to find out R&R stands for Rose and Romance and the smell of Roses as you walk in is a bit odd but don't let that put you off.

Average value hotel

Posted 25-Feb-2013 on Hotels
Hotel located in a relatively sparse neighborhood as far as entertainment and transportation goes, 15 walk to nearest subway station (Central Park). Rooms were moderately clean (bed was excellent) but it was clear someone had been smoking there previously. No windows. Free breakfast was just OK. I didn't try out the fitness center or business centers. From my room, the (free) wifi was very spotty, but worked OK in the lobby areas. Staff was very friendly and helpful with directions and suggestions for places to visit in the area. One thing i don't get is the need to "theme" the hotel. It's got lots of nautical decorations and the staff dress up like sailors, yet there are also Greek statutes around and the cafe was called "Athena" or something like that. It's not a big deal, but just kind of odd.

Value for money

Good value for money. Near the busiest department store and shopping area. Sound proof and helpful staff. Nice bed and pillows... Two little downsides: 1. Mosquitos 2. The rose oil and shower gel.. Not everyone is a rose fan so I hope they will provide an alternative in the future.

R&R hotel in Taiwan

Posted 18-Jul-2012
Pros: ambiance
Cons: dusty window trims, felt kind of haunted..
Location: walking distance to transit, and close to Kaohsiung harbor
dust along window trims complimentary breakfast was good. if you stay there for more than one night, your additional breakfasts will be different. the concierge were friendly and useful in giving me touring information.
