Pool over flooded and front desk was overwhelmed with number of travelers checking in. Digital keys did not work when first assigned, several other travelers had the same issue. Needs more staffing on weekends. Staff was great, just insufficient numbers at the desk.

The room description was wrong. Said it slept 4, but only had 1 bed. A lot of things in the room were damaged and broken. Hotel staff was not personable or helpful with issues. Will not stay here again.

When you pay for this hotel you aren’t paying for anything other than the location/convenience of the spot. In the shower the handle was broken, boogers on the wall and a wet towel rolled up in front of the shower. There was no view from our room besides an ac unit. They will tell you breakfast ends at 11am but it ends at 10am. Save your money and go to someplace nicer.

I never leave average reviews, but- when they advertise city view, they mean a parking lot/construction behind the hotel- out of 2 small windows. Exposed cracking in concrete ceiling in 635. Check in is on the 2nd floor- very little signage to point toward this & the entrance of actual hotel. All in all, this was meant to be a fun, quick, overnight in kc for my 10yo spring break. 10yo was happy with the experience & pool! Myself & my stepmother are so underwhelmed. Parking is extremely unclear if you're not local. Outside grounds/lanscaping are well kept, but extremely confusing, with little *signage*. 5/10.

We had to change rooms once but if I was in better condition ( I just had a major surgery the day we checked in ) we would’ve moved to a second room. First room there was no internet and per the front desk there wasn’t anyone in maintenance there . Went to a room number 2 there wasn’t A phone in there which I don’t understand why, I called the from desk for a manager And was told there wasn’t a Manager there until tomorrow . Recieved a knock on the door at 1110 am ( check out is 11am ) Asking if we were extending our stay It was very annoying at that point since they were quick to ask if we were extending the stay but not quick To handle the inconvenience that we had while we were there . Not a good impression for customer service at all . We have stayed at Alofts before and this experience was definitely not the level or service etc we are accustomed to .

Noise this time
Front desk fantastic and room clean and welcoming. Only issue this time (I stay here often) was out of the control of Aloft. It was quite noisy with traffic and outside noises from people this time. I haven’t experienced that before. It won’t stop me from booking again though. Thanks for a great stay!

The property wasn’t terrible. However, there were a few issues. One being the front desk staff wasn’t available. We waited serval times to be helped. Second, the sink in the bath is HORRIBLE. You can’t get your hands under the faucet to complete wash your hands properly(that’s a big issue). Lastly, we stayed here for New Year’s Eve. The hotel could have used this as an opportunity to make guess feel welcome. The lobby is set up for interaction. This would have been an amazing opportunity to have a small, but intimate celebration.

Aloft KC is okish. The check in was fine, but direction for parking was very unclear. The shower did not work, valve handle fell off so it wouldn’t turn on at all.

For starters we had a burnt plastic smell in our room upon arriving. Secondly, we experienced a very loud vibrating noise in our room prompting us to have to call the front desk. We found out it was the refrigerator and had to unplug it. The toilet “tan” after each flush and we had to jiggle the handle to make it stop. We tried to get drinks at the bar and were told it was the bartenders first day and if we told him how to make a drink he could. No fault to him, but generally it’s a bartender who knows how to make a drink, not the patron ordering the drink. All in all, not a memorable experience. Will not stay again in the future.

The rooms were more quiet overnight than I expected and the bed was comfortable. The hotel room was quite small. The halls/elevators showed a lot of wear and tear. The hotel front desk staff were not overly friendly. I was disappointed in this hotel for the amount I paid.

The overall hotel is very nice. The electrical and lighting in the rooms was difficult to operate. The hot and cold water in shower was reversed.

The pool was closed and should be advertised as not in working condition. It was my daughters bday party and that was a huge disappointment. I had to move rooms as mine was at 78 and would not cool down. The breakfast bar only had coffee and hot water as complimentary. When you’re paying that much to stay somewhere for one night some type of breakfast should be included. There was no coffee by 9 am and no milk for the cereal we had to purchase. So for the price, disappointing.
