After a long flight from London UK all you want is a room to rest in but with luggage in the room too it was a tight fit for two people.
Friendly staff happy to keep our bags for us as we arrived early and the room wasn't ready but this gave us time to check out the local area.

Within walking distance to Osanbashi Pier if you are talking a cruise. Also near China Town and the shops, opposite Yamashita Park and good views over the waterfront (if you get a front room as we did).

For the price, it was a pretty good room, close to a subway line and lots of restaurants. However, the bed was hard and the room was uncomfortably hot. We wanted to turn on the AC but the instructions were all in Japanese and no English. We ended up opening a window because we couldn't figure out how to stop hot air from coming out of the heater. The room was smaller than other hotels we stayed in on our trip.
Comfortable hotel in very easy walking distance to all major sites including Landmark Tower, Yamashita Koen, Motmachi, Chinatown, Yamate, and Bluff. While we stayed at this hotel, Kanto area was struck by earthquake and the hotel rode out the earthquake very well. Felt really safe in 7.3 magnitude earthquake. I'm staying there again next time I visit Yokohama.
The Rose Hotel was very nice. We were greeted by a number of polite staff, and escorted up to our room. It's located steps away from Yokohama Chinatown, and it's a quick walk to the subway station, Yamashita Park, and the Yokohama baseball Stadium.
Yokohama's Chinatown boasts being one of the biggest in the world, with more than 500 restaurants, groceries, and businesses lining the streets. The area's Kanagawa Prefectural Museum of Cultural History offers an extensive collection of historical and cultural pieces, and the nearby multipurpose amphitheatre-style Yokohama Stadium seats 30,000 and is home to the Yokohama Bay Stars baseball team.
