"Exploring River Kwai"
What an odd Hotel to give a true rating for. The welcome was fantastic, staff always were, that includes John the owner, and his lovely wife. Set in garden grounds amongst the trees, the simple hut style accommodation sits perfectly, but they are a little basic, but that didn't matter. They are clean, the beds are ok, pretty basic shower, but it cleaned me.
Back to the restaurant area, almost open to the garden, lovely. Great variety of local Thai food, and some European for the less adventurous, at amazing prices.
Breakfast is pretty basic, the omelette is cooked over a gas hob in the garden directly in front of you.
A range of super day trips are available, booked from the hotel reception. Do the Waterfalls trip.
I wanted to rate the whole Thai Garden experience as 5*, where it lacks in facilities, it over compensates for in its super friendly atmosphere, where nothing is too much trouble, and always a smile. I actually stayed an extra day her rather than go back to a very posh hotel in Bangkok. Thank you all.
