This property is under renovation.However, that doesn’t mean that the guests should listen to the intermittent Noise of the renovation work taking place in the background. Additionally, heater functionality in the room was intermittent. Door unlocking - locking feature was faulty, guests are made to use the same lift used by workmen! , the staff doesn’t seem to care about fixing issues.

Nice but jaded
The hotel does provide fair service, but it really can’t be called a 4 or 5 star hotel.... and that is what I was looking for. The bathroom stank, no provision has been made to keep the monkeys away so I couldn’t enjoy sitting in the balcony and during my one day there, there was such a lot of construction noise that I just couldn’t rest. Food was average.... staff is helpful and nice and the check in and checkout processes were smooth...

The stay was amazing. Only issue was when we checked in, it seemed the housekeeping department had not made up the room properly. The hand towel and the glasses and tthe spoons for the tea were missing

The hotel location was very good and had good shuttle service for Mall road. Service and staff courtesy was very warm. However it is not well maintained with uncomfortable beds, limited activities and below average food. Do not see any reason to pay extra price over a 3 star hotel and thus does not look value for money.

Nice accommodation on hill top!
Little far off from main road but looks spacious considering the landscape in the hill station. Good and caring staffs, complimentary pick ups and drop offs by hotel vehicles from/to the main road are appreciated. Restaurant is reasonably good. Rooms are comfortable but the house keeping staffs should make sure they provide basic items. I could not find any small towels in the bathroom. The parking area is noisy at the nights. It is hard to sleep if your room is close to the parking area in the front.

Nice hotel and very friendly staff .
I am from New York , visited with my wife. Very friendly staff and nice clean food .Hotel room was nice and very convenient shuttle service to the library chowk. This whole experience was memorable.

Drainage in bathroom was shocking. Shower flooded the entire bathroom. Not enough ventilation in bathroom. Room had some minor defects. Customer Service was average and food ordered through room service was overpriced and rubbish. Check out process was long and frustrating. Room and bedding was comfortable.

Good hotel but not country inn standards.
Positioning of property is good.staff is good.food is good. Now what needs improvement is standards...which is not matching COUNTRY's inn .....No hot water....towels were old....bedsheets were old. With little bit improvements this prprty can be among best property at MSSRI.

Nice comfortable hotel
Good room size. Booked for 3 already but never offered extra bed which was mention while booked. Last day just apologise never offered anything complimentary for that Inconvinience we had to face. Breakfast was good. Spa was ok but very little space for that. Free shuttle to library chawk. Overall a great hotel for that price.

Good Option for the walkers out there!
The location of the hotel is awesome. Staff was friendly although they took extra time to delivery any thing to the room. We had booked 2 superior twin rooms for triple occupants through expedia.com but when we reached they told us the had upgraded us to a king size delux room. We had to remind them that we had paid for 3 occupants. Hotel facilities and toilet conditions were a pity. The latch in the bathroom was broken. The bidet was dripping which meant that the bathroom was always wet . When we entered the room the wash basin was clogged. The hotel fixed it some how upon our complaint. The tap in the bathroom was broken which was only fixed after our complain. I do not understand how can the maintenance team miss such serious issues when the clean the room. The complimentary breakfast had a lot of variety but the taste was average. Even a la carte was jusk ok for that matter. The view from my balcony was worthy. The hotel really needs to get their utilities fixed considering they represent the 'carlson rezidor' group. I would think before I book at this property again.

Bad experience
The service was pathetic the staff kept ignoring us at the breakfast table. The receptionist did not greet us at the time of check in and made us wait 10 minutes even though we had booked the hotel well in advance. The rooms were stuffy and the bathroom was badly maintained with leaking showers and no exhaust.

Overall a good hotel but needs improvement
Overall a good hotel, nice food, nice location and good service staff. I have few points of imporvement for the hotel: they need to follow standard practice for each room and every room must be checked for completeness of the housekeeping supplies after every check out. I booked two rooms and inventory at both the rooms were different. We were provided with the wifi passwords from the reception and then only those were provided to us, which were included in our package. I was told two different stories about the membership rewards and even after a call with the hotel staff I have not received any email from the hotel for my membership number. I would like to see these things already provided/improved in the rooms for future stays (as I find in other hotels normally). I would suggest the hotel to keep these things in mind in order to provide a better customer service.

Excellent Service
It was a very relaxing one. Explored the town and sites. The drop off & pick up service provided by the hotel helped a lot in getting out and about since parking space was very limited in town. I would like to express my sincere thanks to the staff for their excellent service and would like to take up one of your chain of hotels across India next time I visit.

Problems that we encountered were:- a) on arriv
Problems that we encountered were:- a) on arrival I asked for a glass of water instead of welcome drink . which was not provided. b) The internet was through a password which use to stop every now and then. On inquiry they use to provide another password but it was a hassle asking for a new pass word 3/4 times a day. c) I asked for a newspaper in the morning to which they replied that they will send it in my room. But it never reached my room. d) Your check in & check out time has a difference of 3 hours. this mean you charge me 12.5% more. e) THE MOST IMPORTANT POINT. Your pick and drop facility has a timing of 9 to 9. on 7th we went to Mall road for dinner and got late. It started raining. We had no option but to get drenched in rain and walk up to the hotel. It was a very bad experience. The pickup facility when it was most required, was not provided.

We have improved on our complimentary internet services and shuttle service timings has been extended up till 10 pm. The difference in the C/IN and C/out time can not be altered as we have small inventory and busy weekends. Housekeeping staff need few hours to clean and set the rooms as per our standards. We offer complimentary early check in and late check out subject to availability. We hope for another opportunity to exceed your expectations.

A comfortable Stay away from home.......
I was there for New Year celebration 2014 with my friends and family. We all had a very comfortable stay and pleasant experience.hotel staff is very courteous and was prompt to our needs and made it sure...we had a great trip. Food was good. location is excellent. Just a suggestion that hotel should provide at least dormitory and food for the drivers, as most of the outside travellers come by private taxis. Rest all, excellent.

Excellent Hospitality
We think that stay was made comfortable as people in the hotel were extremely hospitable and cordial. We would repeat this hotel just because of the behavior of the staff. Otherwise the hotel is worth the money spent. Though food and beverage was not something that we would recommend but the outstanding hospitality of staff, excellent location and comfortable rooms would be a very good reason to stay at Carlton. We have tried Carlton properties in Jaipur and Mussoorie and both times it has been a pleasure to meet staff who are so cordial and warm. 5 star to the staff and about 3.5 to the property as a whole.

Not worth the expense
Biggest drawback the food quality (it was poor) even after being so expensive. They have no arrangement of night stay for Drivers, which should be a must. I wanted to change them my room so that i can get front view (construction work was going on just next to my room so at times foul smell was coming) however surprisingly they said that they have upgraded by Hotel room however it was the same which i book through Expedia Package. As per they them they didn't has any other room available.

Above average
This is an above average hotel. Not bad but not very good either. Location is very good, slightly away from the mall, but hotel provide shuttle service. There is hardly any open area in the hotel. Food is good.
