This was an amazing stay! Food was good in all of the restaurants but i especially loved the grab and go. Specifically, the patisserie and the gyros bar were amazing! The only downside was the subbed situation as all sunbeds were gone by 7am but luckily we hade a ground floor garden view bungalow which provides sunbeds outside your room. But overall it was ana amazing for holiday!

Golden Wedding Celebrations
I was recommended this holiday by others for our 50th Wedding Anniversary. High expectations not fulfilled. Had to stand in que for half and hour plus to check in even though we had checked in online to save time. Buggy to bungalow on arrival asked driver to wait and take us back up the hill to get some food. He told us to phone reception when ready. Phoned for buggy twice but did not arrive. We had to walk in the dark not knowing where to go. Pleasant surprise in the morning when we opened the curtains lovely sea view almost on the beach. Lovely room only downfall not soundproof as stated. Main restaurant although plenty of choices the food was lukewarm. For a 5 star hotel crockery did not match and no teaspoon to stir tea-coffee. Other restaurants in resort were good. Bar staff and waiting staff were good. Angelo? in the bar at tennis courts was very nice. Dougie tour operator was excellent. Hotel made our anniversary special with a cake and fizz to our room.

The rooms are not very insulated, you can hear everything happening in the next rooms! Did not sleep more than 4 hours each night due to young family next door and the people staying above us who stay up late. Left needing a holiday and very tired!

The standard restaurant was very poor quality food. They made it very hard to book into the restaurants (hotel.com did not provide the correct reservation ID to prebook). Bar service was quite slow. Staff were pleasant and the resort is well maintained Overall more of a 4 star stay. Did not have the refined touches of a 5 star hotel

Amazing place
Staying at the Mitsis was absolutely amazing. The food was delicious, the staff friendly and hotel was very luxurious. They thought of everything from the smallest detail to make your stay an amazing experience. The waters are cold at this time of the year (pool and sea) but we booked a jacuzzi which was very well used by us. The only fault I would say is that the dishes in the buffet area were sometimes are not properly cleaned but as soon as I informed our waiter, they changed it for us. The food through out the resort is fantastic, from alfresco dining to chilled, something for everyone. My kids love the ice cream, it was their favourite place. The scenery is mountain, sea and pool, not much more to ask for. Overall an amazing experience that I would definitely be returning to.

A comfortable, low 4* stay for a family of 11
Overall the stay was very comfortable for a large adult family trip. Unfortunately the size of the a-la carte restaurants are not a suitable size for the hotels guest capacity which meant until we complained about the poor buffet food, we could only get one reservation in 10 nights to eat in one of the restaurants. The fitness classes were excellent, especially the beautiful yoga classes led by Victoria who I can highly recommend. The housekeeping could be improved as many days we were not given any towels, replenished cups/mugs/tea or coffee etc. The waiters/waitresses could definitely do with some training in how to please the customer as multiple times per day we were given attitude, or told no. But overall the service was average.

9 blokes stayed here for a 30th send off and we were extremely impressed even with the hotel being centred around a couples retreat. Great facilities, good food, great ale and very friendly staff making us feel at home. If you do want something away from the couples night life the disco bar ran by Local Dimitri is brilliant. Very friendly, karaoke, sport and a whole lot of sweet Caroline.

Overall nice hotel, lovely staff, beach and facilities are nice. Food in pre booked restaurants was really good, as well as in the little restaurants around the pool, the only downside of this hotel is quality of food in the main restaurant which is bad from breakfast to dinner we didn't enjoy it all all. Not much to do in the evening, property is an hour walk away from the small town.

Excellent stay. Staff were universally excellent. Facilities very good. Only downsides were the fact that it wasn't explained in advance that we would need to arrange reservations for the a la carte restaurants and the swimming pools are saltwater.

Very misleading and not worthy of 5 stars
I must admit I am hard to please, but I can overlook hotel issues if service is good. But when you get a room that smells of sewage and service that blunt and rude then I feel the need to give my experience of this hotel. Firstly it looks nothing like it does on the website, its old and very tired. The rooms are actually very big, so thats a plus, but they are old and dated. Our room smelt so badly of sewage and after informing the reception and being told "sorry" they did nothing about it. The grass outside our room hadn't been cut - see photo of our lounger (they were mostly like this) The hotel pool areas are dated and not well maintained and the sun beds if you didn't have a towel most of them you would refuse to sit on. The standard of drinks you get range from poor to pretty good depending on the bar you visit - Pool bar is poor / Beach bar is good and reception bar very good. The food in general is ok - if you manage to get into a "al a carte" we ate out 1 night out of two even though it was all inc. This is a numbers hotel - they can and do cater for a lot of guests, so they don't care if they don't not meet people's expectations of a 5 star hotel charging £350 per night (perhaps we over paid as we were only there for 2 nights - luckily) I'll end where I started, I am hard to please. But if you are expecting a 5 star resort with good service, modern and well maintained and give value for £350 do not stay here. I would never return if even it was free

Modern, friendly and sunny.
We stayed for 1 week and we’re upgraded to a family room from a bungalow with westerly views and glimpses of the water from our room. In general majority of staff were wonderful. Housekeeping had a habit of not always knocking and woke us up on one occasion when sleeping in, and walking into the room one evening just as I got out of the shower… Apart from that, the food especially the a la carte is very good, make sure you make reservations on the Mitsis website before your holiday otherwise you may have trouble getting a reservation. The chefs tend to be a bit heavy on the salt, and a few times we were told it was not possible to order some meals without salt. Not sure if it is due to COVID but they ore add salt and pepper instead of having it out on the tables. My kids loved the pools, note they are all filled with the sea water, so temperature will dry depending on the time of the year. We did however get sea lice rash from one of the pools which deterred us from swimming for a day. Entertainment was great for kids 6 and under they enjoyed the nightly disco, and the kids club staff were lovely too. Only real downside, no table service to the sun loungers so you need to get up to get a drink, I would have expected this from a 5 star hotel.

We needed to extend our trip to Kos for 2 days and wanted to try a different hotel to be able to make recommendations to several family members that will be traveling to this island over the next few months. We initially booked another hotel on the same property that we were not happy with and made the switch to the Blue Domes. It was remarkably nicer and the staff were very patient and helped to make our last few days in Kos enjoyable. The grounds are lovely and it is easy to get around. Again, the staff were friendly and worked so hard to make the guests’ stay a great experience. Would definitely recommend staying here.

We have thoroughly enjoyed our recent stay. Whilst we were unhappy with not having been allocated our sea view rooms, this problem was resolved after the first 24 hours. The choice of restaurants is fantastic, especially for lunches. The choice of cocktails is somewhat restricted but overall an excellent holiday.

We haven't holidayed within Europe for a while but after this trip we are definitely planning on returning to this hotel. We were nervous before booking due to mixed reviews but are glad we came to the hotel. The views are amazing, rooms are great, and food quality was very good, especially the lunch options which we all loved. There are some queues but we found with the baby we were up early and didn't usually dine during peak times so usually missed these. With the current Covid restrictions I feel the hotel has managed the situation as best as possible. The staff were all amazing, especially when you consider they have to work with masks on, always a positive attitude and you can see the smiles. Great value for money, thank you to the team at Mitsis Blue Domes

Great week at Blue Domes :-)
Excellent stay at the Blue Domes Hotel from start to finish. Staff all very friendly and polite. Buffet food was good and plenty of alternative options in the smaller cafes and A la Carte. The A la Carte gets booked up quick with fewer tables due to social distancing measures so book on your first morning. Some small queues for the restaurants some of the time again due to social distancing measures. I actually prefer that in the buffet restaurant you are served by staff rather than helping yourself. Room was cleaned every day and all towels changed. The waiting staff from the bar work really hard! Lots of pools to choose from and the beach is nice but is fine stones as opposed to sand but is ok. Sea is very clear. Beach beds get busy from 10 onwards but always found some beds. Would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay again.

Fantastic
An amazing stay and well organised considering the constraints that COVID brings. Quite difficult to book into the better restaurants so plan ahead and book early. Staff are very friendly and accommodating.

Stayed for 5 nights, hotel is lovely & clean. Pools are amazing. Only negative is that it’s hard to get booked into the a la carte restaurants but all other food & drink is amazing!

I’ve just returned from a week at Blue Domes. This is truly a beautiful hotel - the landscape, the views day and night are at times breathtaking. I stayed in a Garden View Bungalow close to one of the 10 salt water pools. I think the hotel have coped well with the COVID-19 crisis. There was plenty of staff in the buffet restaurant as they needed to serve you rather than helping yourself. I tended to eat my breakfast at Healthy Corner (really tasty Greek yogurt dishes and smoothies) - I absolutely loved the smaller restaurants dotted round the central Pool Bar - such a great choice to cater for all needs: Burger Inn (fresh tasty burgers, very nice salads - The Academy my favourite!), Ouzeri for Mezze, Sushi, Pitta and Pastry corner. We did have difficulty getting booked into the A La Carte restaurants - I only managed to try the Mexican but the food there was outstanding. As the hotel is sculpted into the mountain, the resort is hilly but mostly manageable for mobility impaired. There are lifts but some of the ramped sections are a long way round. The beach is stony and got very busy but we tended to stick to the pools where there were comfortable sunbeds. Loved the fact your beach towel was in your room and replaced daily. one suggestion would be that the pool near to Tilos rooms had a small cafe? And sadly the coffee machine was lit working so a bit of a walk to get an ice coffee (not the end of the world!). The staff are so lovely and helpful - my dad is 80 and we wer

Property was quite large and spread out, which is both good and bad; if you have mobility problems it could be a challenge; however, the property did have "club cars" that would pick you up and take you where you wanted. Overall the staff in all areas were outstanding and always helpful, nothing was too much to ask. The restaurants were quite good, especially the a la carte restaurants, but even the buffet was consistently good.

We are not normally writing reviews but I thought when I booked the hotel I did not get the info I wanted from previous reviews.If I would have known how good this place was I would have been here many years ago ! Its great. Hotel is clean and they are taking good precautions for covid 19 and cleaning furniture restaurant tables etc. constantly. Hotel staff are great always happy to help. Rooms were very clean and were kept clean throughout are stay.Beds comfortable and room size was average.We had the room with pool which was nice but as there are so many pools not a must.Free mini bar stocked up daily and if more needed on request. Food, this is extremely good.Normally don’t go for all inclusive but here they have it all. Four A la carte restaurants.Mexican ,Greek,Italian and Pan Asian.Just make sure you book a table,seems like the online table booking was always full but we got tables by asking guest relations. The main buffet has great food and changed menus daily,they did get large queues to get in but the queue does go down in 5 mins unless you want a table outside then this may take a little longer .Some slight queues for the food but nothing to worry about. There are 6 other smaller restaurants,Sushi,Pita,Burger,heathly,pastries and greek meze.All were great absolutely no complaints and we did give them a good go, tried most things on the menu throughout our stay. Beautiful place. Easy access to rent ATVs and do things. Lots of families. Not really a quiet place but still lovely. Ocean was very dirty. I recommend leaving the resort and traveling a bit for clean ocean. Also recommend visiting nearby areas just to see the island!

Relax.
Enjoyed our stay very much. The resort is an excellent location for couples or families. There is plenty of on site activities to occupy anyone. The staff and service is very good. There is a high standard of cleanliness with respect to ones apartment. You can hire vehicles to get around the island or the service Bus which calls at the Resort. The various food outlets and the main Dining area offer excellent food. All in all a relaxing holiday.
